A lesbian play in Hong Kong? Yes! The newest theater company of Hong Kong, is presenting the famous drama by Frank Marcus: The Killing of Sister George. Eight years after his passing, a father's daughter is making his musical dreams come true. Using music and lyrics from David DeNoon's recently unearthed songbook, Christine DeNoon, in partnership with Lorie Steele, has written the show her father always wanted, at last fulfilling one of his lifelong goals. Someone To Belong To has been accepted into The New York International Fringe Festival, one of the largest multi-arts events in North America running from August 9-25th at venues in lower Manhattan.
