The National Restaurant Association (NRA) annually explores the top menu trends for the coming year. Today, the American Federation of Government Employees released a microsite site to raise awareness of the threat of privatizing the VA, and the negative impact it will have on veterans.

The German Federal Foreign Office (FFO), the Goethe-Institut, and the Federation of German Industry (BDI), announce the launch of WanderbUS, an immersive traveling exhibit bringing German culture to 48 states over five months. Launching March 5th in Washington, D.C., the WanderbUS will hit the road to visit high schools and universities in every state within the continental US. Staffed with a team of educational professionals, the tour will feature presentations, games and virtual reality tours of German landmarks including Hamburg, Nuernberg and Frankfurt. More than 46 million turkeys will be cooked this Thanksgiving holiday, according to the National Turkey Federation. In an effort to help protect Americans from foodborne illness during the Thanksgiving season, the Ad Council, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in partnership with Food Network Star’s Martie Duncan, are helping to dispel many of the common myths surrounding the preparation and serving of the holiday turkey meal.

The welcome address at this year’s Forum was delivered by Sergei Prikhodko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Chief of Staff of the Government of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The Forum programme was unique in both scope and the subjects covered by a total of over 150 events.
This year, a new approach was taken to forming the interesting programme, involving the expert community.
According to the participants, “the discussions were more substantive, direct and open and the ideas expressed at the sessions will undoubtedly be of use in their work going forward”.
A group of our experts worked at all the events, the outcome of which will be a selection of proposals on the results of the business programme for presentation to the President of the Russian Federation.

FedEx Office and eBay have teamed up to bring the eBay Valet Drop-Off Program to more than 1,600 FedEx Office retail stores, making it easier for consumers to sell items online and earn money. With kids back in school and the holiday season right around the corner, now is the perfect time to clear the home of items no longer needed, such as electronics, small appliances, sporting goods and more to make some extra money. According to a recent survey by the National Retail Federation, the average household has more than 50 extra or unused items worth more than $3,000, if sold on eBay.
The eBay Valet Drop-Off Program is designed to make selling items as simple as possible. Customers bring their items to the nearest participating FedEx Office location. Once in the store, trained FedEx Office team members can help set up an eBay account from an in-store tablet or log in to an existing account. They will then vet items to ensure they can be sold on eBay. FedEx Office then packs and ships items to the nearest eBay Valet processing center where they will be listed and sold. Once the item sells, customers receive payment via PayPal, with updates and notifications throughout the process.

The 6th Beijing Biennale under the theme of “Memory and Dream”, co-sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and the China Artists Association is expected to be exhibited in the National Art Museum of China from Sep.24 to Oct.15, 2015. The exhibition attracted 685 pieces of artwork from 96 countries which registered half of the member countries of the United Nations, covering contemporary paintings, sculptures, installations, videos and mixed media (with 188 pieces of artwork from China and 497 pieces of artwork from foreign countries).

Closing the distance from farm to fork, America’s turkey farmers, represented by the National Turkey Federation, have prepared a new series of videos and resources offering common-sense answers about raising healthy turkey flocks on family farms. Viewers see turkeys walk about freely and safely inside barns without cages, as well as learn how veterinarian-prescribed antibiotics are proven to clear an animal’s system before the meat is processed. The videos also share how healthy turkeys are raised on a nutritious diet of corn and soybeans along with vitamins and minerals, and how turkeys are farm-raised using smart technology and responsible stewardship of resources.

As the kick off to the 2013 World Slackline Federation (WSFed) Slackline World Cup Finals taking place inside the Michael Jackson ONE Theatre on Oct. 17, Andy Lewis, the daredevil Gibbon athlete and slackliner made famous for his Super Bowl XLVI halftime show performance with Madonna, set a new world record for the longest urban highline walked. Lewis thrilled spectators by forging a 480-ft. high, 360-ft.-long slackline, running parallel to the Las Vegas Strip, rigged from two of Mandalay Bay’s resort towers.
