B-ball for the China earthquake victims was played steet style and raised over 80,000 HKD last week in an all out exhibition match between AND1 U.S.A and local celebrities team which included Jaycee Chan. Jaycee made major cash by catching nothing but air 8 times in a row in a free throw contest. 24 Herbs, SIR JBS MC'd the game and the whole band kept the fans out of their seats during halftime. The closing party of the Skin:Inks exhibition on July 10 had to be the coolest Hong Kong party in many months. Party goers, celebrities, über-cool tattooed guys and gals packed Cliq nightclub to celebrate skin art and raise funds for the Kely Support Group. The LifeForm art created by Hanni B. is quite unique. Most find it evocative and scintillating. Some appear shocked at the erotic depictions but deep inside they are impressed and aroused. The vibrant colors and bold geometric patterns flow fluidly as a 3-dimensional extrusion, rising above the organic curves below. The images evoke visions of supernatural forces, giving rise to god-like powers. But the curves are unmistakably human. After their father charmingly runs off with the family fortune and a man called Brian, Ben and Jenny move from Manhattan to a flyspeck town in New England with their mother, Susanne. The town is characterised by three things: a history of witchcraft and religious slaughter, a slew of missing children, and a population of freakish teens.
Local legend has it that Nathaniel Butcher, a fervid puritan, cleansed the town of witches in the eighteenth century, in a frenzied orgy of killing, murdering all the women and children. He then moved his family into the old house. One night, he gathered the twelve Puritan leaders of the community for a meeting, and they were never seen again. The story goes that whoever moves into the old house loses their children, who are never seen again.
