As you may know, my name is Greg Artz and this begins our journey to learning Internet Marketing Strategies that will help you surge forward in developing your online business and help you achieve your goals and dreams. Internet marketing gives you the possibility to engage in your competitors products or services and actually promote for them, and in return they issue you a commission check for sales you make. This form of internet marketing is called affiliate marketing. We will be covering this topic in greater detail in further to come lessons.

Toyota today announced its “100 Cars for Good” program, which will award 100 vehicles over the course of 100 days to 100 deserving nonprofit organizations based on votes from the public.
Beginning March 7, 2011, registered 501c(3) non-profit organizations can apply online through Toyota’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/toyota for a chance to win a Toyota Prius, Tacoma, Tundra, Highlander Hybrid, Sienna, or Sienna Mobility. A six-year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty will also be provided for each vehicle awarded. You Don't Have To Have High Technical Skills
You need to know the basics about a computer and be able to connect to the internet. You will need some additional computer skills but if you are just no good at it, you can hire people to do it for you. We will be discussing outsourcing in later lessons as well so please keep a look out for them.
Internet marketing doesn't require a website but I recommend you studying the lessons on affiliate marketing to learn more. If you are a beginner and you want to learn how to build one from scratch, remember I recommend using Wordpress.

Internet Marketing Requires Very Little Investment To Start
This is one of the powers behind internet marketing. Regardless of your income level you can still learn at your own pace. It's just those with more money can get a jump start because they can pay to have traffic sent to their website through PPC (pay-per-click-advertising)
It's just like turning a faucet of water on except you are turning on a faucet of visitors to your website. If you are lacking funds, you will just have to concentrate a little more on more traditional methods which we will talk about in future lessons.

Tracking Stats In Your Business
One very important aspect of internet marketing is tracking your conversion stats. In case you are unfamiliar with what they are, conversion stats tell you important detail about who is coming to your site and if they are buying or not. You need to know this data because you want to eventually focus your efforts on what is working and faze out what is not. This will improve your overall ROI (return on investment).
One of the skills you will need to learn is keyword research. I recommend using the Google Keyword Tool in order to do your research but we will be covering exactly how to do that in future lessons. Keyword research is a vital part of internet marketing because you don't want to be targeting keywords that people are not relevant to your products or services. Also, if you target low quality keywords that could create a direct impact on the amount of income you make.
