Vivid Sydney (23 May – 9 June) was officially opened tonight by the NSW Premier Mike Baird, as the Sails of iconic Sydney Opera House came alive with world–exclusive, stunning 3D–mapped projections, and the Harbour City was filled with colour and light.
Vivid Sydney, the largest light, music and ideas festival in the Southern Hemisphere, and Australia’s Event of the Year, features a huge, free nightly light show of lighting installations, building projections and water theatre around Sydney harbour from 6pm until midnight, as well as live music performances and over 200 creative industry events.

The eye of a massive storm is making landfall in Atlanta, as Six Flags Over Georgia announces the opening of its all-new water park, Hurricane Harbor, on May 30, 2014. Uber-cool Swiss watch brand TAG Heuer will mark the start of the world’s first electric car race season on 31st August with a king-sized VIP party in Beijing, home of the new championship’s electrifying season opener.
The event officially inaugurates the pioneering Swiss brand’s latest adventure in motor-racing, which starts 13 September in Beijing, and closes 27 June, 2015 in London.
