When Emily Henderson, host of “Secrets From a Stylist,” realized several pieces of furniture and home décor would not fit stylishly into her new home, she turned to Chairish.com. In preparation for Henderson’s upcoming move, Chairish.com, an online consignment marketplace for design-obsessed people to buy and sell pre-owned home furnishings, is offering select vintage pieces from Henderson’s current home, including décor, accessories and furniture online at Chairish.com. A second collection of Henderson’s pieces will be released on the site October 10.

Rebuilding Together is providing free critical home repairs to eligible homeowners affected by Superstorm Sandy through our affiliates in New York City, Long Island, Bergen County, Jersey City, and Essex County. As of October 2013, these affiliates have brought together over 3,150 volunteers to complete work on more than 250 projects that assist more than 430 people.

Do you know how to recognize a stroke? Would you know what to do if someone — or you — had one? Many people don't, and 795,000 people in the United States will have a stroke this year.
In a recent American Heart Association/American Stroke Association survey, only 41 percent of people who care for family with significant risk factors for a first-time stroke could name at least three stroke warning signs.
As part of World Stroke Day on Oct. 29, and National Family Caregivers Month in November, the American Stroke Association is urging Americans to learn the stroke warning signs and to act fast when a stroke occurs.
