Gigi gives us the boot! This fall, Stuart Weitzman has collaborated with Gigi Hadid, the face of the Fall 2016 ad campaign, on an exclusive design for the brand -- the Gigi Boot. The hiker-inspired high heel combat bootie was co-designed by the social supermodel and reflects her sleek street style and fashion-forward flair.
Hadid was inspired by the brand’s stellar boot reputation, but used her creative vision to put a unique, personal spin on the lace-up bootie silhouette. The Gigi Boot is set on a stacked heel, boasts bold metallic eyelets accented by duo-toned laces designed to wrap around the ankle and is finished with a detailed collar. The bootie is available in three materials, so there are multiple options for her style squad: a classic-yet-modern nero soft croco-calf leather and two shiny chic metallics, including iron specchio and copper glass. The bootie comes in a signature Gigi Hadid box and is available exclusively at Stuart Weitzman retail locations and global websites. I've been working on a very complex Progressive Trance song for over a month now but after investing so much time into a song that probably won't go over well with a mainstream audience, I become bored with it and so a much quicker and fun song emerged in my mind and so hence, the birth of Hey Terminator .... After that, I went back to work on the Trance song but once again, I became bored with working on that project for so long so once again I veered away from it to compose this new and fun song. This is probably the fastest time it's taken me to complete a song and video after the prior one.
The Amos Family had a dream—to raise $1 million to help shelter dogs find forever homes. Now, with the help of pet industry leaders Wahl and GreaterGood.org, this dream is a reality. The Australian family of five has picked up and moved to the states, and for the next year their home will be an RV and a giant dog-shaped mobile dog washing vehicle. It’s called the Bathe to Save Tour, and its mission is to visit 150 cities in all 50 states, raise money and awareness, and wash more than 25,000 dogs to get them ready for adoption.

To coincide with Valentine’s Day, the Ad Council, R/GA and an unprecedented group of brand partners launched, “Fans of Love,” an extension of the iconic Love Has No Labels campaign. The new PSAs, filmed live at the NFL Pro Bowl in Orlando in January, put a twist on the traditional kiss cam by replacing it with an unbiased camera that features all forms of love –friendships, families and romantic relationships– across race, religion, gender, sexuality, ability and age. The goal of the campaign has always been to flood culture with a message of unbiased love, but this year, they’re doing so by actually reframing an iconic part of culture.
“On Valentine’s Day ‘Fans of Love’ highlights that love has the power to bring people together regardless of our differences – a message that is more important now than ever,” said Lisa Sherman, president and CEO of the Ad Council. “We hope that this new creative will encourage all of us to reflect on our own biases and the role we can play in creating a more accepting and inclusive world.”
A global plan to save coral reefs from complete eradication caused by climate change, pollution and poor fishing practices launched today at The Economist World Ocean Summit in Bali. The initiative, called 50 Reefs, brings together leading ocean, climate and marine scientists as well as conservation practitioners from around the world to develop a list of the 50 most critical coral reefs to protect.
50 Reefs will be the first global plan to save the most biodiverse ecosystem on the planet. The final list and corresponding initiatives, to be announced later this year, will raise awareness of the increasing severity of climate change impacts on the ocean and catalyze the global action and investment required to protect these important reef systems for the future.
The launch comes at a perilous moment for coral reefs, as current estimates indicate that 90 percent will disappear by 2050. A unique philanthropic coalition of innovators in business, technology and government are supporting 50 Reefs, led by Bloomberg Philanthropies with The Tiffany & Co. Foundation and The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, with the aim of preventing the worst economic, social, and environmental impacts of this enormous crisis.
