University Hospitals Case Medical Center was recognized today as a national model for quality care as the recipient of the 2012 American Hospital Association-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize. The prestigious award named UH Case Medical Center the top hospital in the nation for its leadership and innovation in quality improvement and safety.
UH Case Medical Center was selected by a multi-disciplinary committee of health care quality and patient safety experts. The American Hospital Association (AHA)-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize is presented annually and UH Case Medical Center is the first large, urban academic medical center to earn this coveted prize.

As Americans honor those who serve our country this Veterans Day, Colorado Technical University (CTU) is recognizing the sacrifices of 25 wounded active duty and veteran service members and 25 spouses of wounded service members with the gift of education.
CTU today announced the 50 recipients of the fifth annual 2013 CTU Wounded Warrior Scholarship and Wounded Warrior Spouse Scholarship programs. The scholarships cover the full cost of tuition, course materials and fees, as well as a new laptop computer.

Anand G. Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group, became the first Indian to receive the prestigious Harvard Medal for his dedication, generosity and service to the University. Harvard President Drew Faust, the Lincoln Professor of History, presented Mr. Mahindra with the medal at the Annual Meeting of the Harvard Alumni Association during Harvard’s 363rd Commencement Afternoon Program on May 29.

The Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University, the premier center for celiac disease research and treatment, unveiled the I Didn’t Know video campaign, offering an inside look at the serious impact of celiac disease on patients at the 13th Anniversary gala on November 13th in New York City. The series chronicles the lives of several patients experiencing a wide range of debilitating symptoms associated with undiagnosed celiac disease, including an inability to walk, developmental delays, multiple miscarriages and infertility.

Walden University Scholars of Change focus on the future, whether they are transforming the way children learn, mentoring, or improving living conditions for others. More than 175 Walden University students and alumni submitted inspiring videos of social change in their communities for the university’s 2014 Scholars of Change video contest. For the second time in school history, a team of academic stars representing Prairie View A&M University bested 47 teams from America’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) to win the 26th annual Honda Campus All-Star Challenge (HCASC) National Championship Tournament. In addition to taking home the prized HCASC championship title, Prairie View was awarded a $50,000 institutional grant from Honda to support academic programs on campus.

The IV Eurasian Higher Education Leaders Forum (EHELF) took place at Nazarbayev University, Astana, Kazakhstan, June 10-12. Each year, more than 300 attendees, industry leaders, from different parts of the world participate in discussions and panel sessions at EHELF.
