In celebration of National Breakfast Week, Kellogg’s® is making a difference by sharing breakfast with children in need. Moms and dads know that breakfast is essential to giving kids the start they need to help unlock their potential. But not every child gets this important start to their day. In fact, nearly one in five children across the U.S. goes without breakfast every day.1 That’s why Kellogg’s, and their in-school breakfast partner Action For Healthy Kids®, have partnered with Taye Diggs for the third annual Share Breakfast™ program. Together, they are making it easy for families to help share one2 million breakfasts with kids who might otherwise go without. Modern semitrailers for the most part do a good job of keeping passenger vehicles from sliding underneath them, greatly increasing the chances of surviving a crash into the back of a large truck, recent tests by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) show. But in crashes involving only a small portion of the truck’s rear, most trailers fail to prevent potentially deadly underride. Earlier research showed that the minimum strength and dimensions required for underride guards are inadequate, prompting the Institute to petition the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in 2011 for tougher standards. The Institute also asked the agency to consider applying the standards to other types of large trucks, such as dump trucks that aren’t required to have any underride guards.

Newcastle Brown Ale today announced ‘No Bollocks 2013,’ a new integrated national marketing campaign. At the heart of the ‘No Bollocks 2013’ campaign is a series of TV spots comprised entirely of still photo images intended to cut through the clutter of expensive, elaborate, overly produced advertisements typical of the beer category. Instead of using the professional actors or beautiful models normally featured in beer ads, the spots feature ordinary people drinking at real parties having a real good time (or a real bad time in some cases). The creative takes on traditional beer advertising gimmicks that imply that hand crafted workmanship and hand selected ingredients are unique to certain beers and that parties are made abundantly more fun with those same beers. Approximately one-third of teens may be missing annual checkups according to data from the US Department of Health and Human Services and the US Census. Teens often encounter social, emotional, and physical issues that may include eating disorders and obesity, substance abuse, and sexually transmitted infections. While experts agree that teens should get annual medical checkups to be screened for health risks and discuss important health-related matters, perceptions exist that may contribute to millions of teens missing out on yearly visits. To better understand perceptions about teen health, the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID), in collaboration with, and with support from Pfizer Inc, conducted a national survey, fielded by Harris Interactive, of more than 2,000 parents of teens, teens, and healthcare professionals.
