TriggerPoint™, the market leader in foam rolling, movement products and education, today announces the launch of the GRID VIBE premium vibrating foam roller. Designed for muscle relaxation and pain reduction, the GRID VIBE pairs TriggerPoint’s patented GRID foam roller design with vibration technology to deliver enhanced muscle mobility experiences.
The GRID VIBE’s vibration frequency is specifically calibrated at 33 hertz for optimal muscle relaxation, minimizing discomfort and allowing users to focus longer on foam rolling tender areas. Research shows that vibration decreases the body’s sensation of pain. When vibration is paired with TriggerPoint’s signature GRID pattern that mimics a massage therapist’s hands, fingers and fingertips, the GRID VIBE effectively targets more layers of tight muscle tissue. The GRID VIBE can be used by anyone for muscle recovery, injury prevention, improving athletic performance, pain management, or boosting overall body movement and mobility.

Researchers at global public health organization NSF International, Harvard Medical School, the United States Department of Defense and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment in the Netherlands (RIVM) recently identified four unapproved, DMAA-like stimulants in six over-the-counter weight-loss and pre-workout products currently available online. The research was published in the peer-reviewed journal Clinical Toxicology.
The potentially harmful compounds – including banned stimulants 1,3-DMAA and 1,3-DMBA as well as octodrine and a newly identified DMAA analog – were not listed as ingredients in the products and may have been disguised as “2-aminoisoheptane” or extract of Aconitum kusnezoffii. These stimulants may cause adverse cardiac events, hemorrhagic strokes or sudden death, especially if taken prior to strenuous exercise or combined with caffeine. Extreme heat and dehydration may also increase the health risks.

Nintex, the recognized global leader in workflow and content automation (WCA), today released a new study revealing the top five most broken processes in American workplaces and how they contribute to employee satisfaction and performance.
The study, called the “Definitive Guide to America’s Most Broken Processes,” found that a third of employees at U.S. companies (with more than 1,000 employees) are currently looking for new jobs, with the vast majority (86 percent) citing their company’s broken processes as a driving factor behind this decision. One commonality found in the research is that the top five issues are unspecialized, repetitive tasks that fall in the long tail of business processes, which must be automated to drive efficiency, efficacy and employee satisfaction.

Anyone who has seen the blockbuster movies The Thomas Crown Affair or Bullitt will want to read The Pursuit of Happiness, a new novel by the same writer, Alan Trustman. The highest paid screenwriter in Hollywood at one time, Trustman now turns his pen to fiction, which reads and moves with the same crime thriller speed as his movies.
From the opening chapter we are rocketed into the world of a Boston bad boy who is recruited to work for the government.
“All of the material in The Pursuit of Happiness is true,” says Trustman. “Not a lot of people know that Boston was the contract killing capitol of the country throughout the 1940s – 1970s. Maybe later. I did a lot of research on the Boston gang wars.”
