The Trevor Project, the leading national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth, announced today the launch of a national public service announcement (PSA) targeted at LGBTQ youth. The PSA features Daniel Radcliffe, the star of the “Harry Potter” film series, Broadway’s “Equus” and the upcoming revival of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.” Newsrooms and broadcasters are encouraged to download the broadcast-quality (MPEG-2) PSA available on the panel to the right, and the video can also be easily embedded onto websites, blogs and online news outlets.

In support of the It Gets Better Project and the worldwide movement that has been created to support GLBT youth, PwC US has launched a video of gay and lesbian staff sharing their challenges growing up gay and describing how they found acceptance, support and happiness as adults. The Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN) and the Ad Council joined the National Basketball Association (NBA) to debut a series of public service advertisements (PSA) featuring Phoenix Suns stars Grant Hill and Jared Dudley designed to address the use of anti-gay language among teens. The campaign includes new television, radio, print and Web ads and the TV spot will launch this Sunday during the NBA Conference Finals on ABC, TNT, and ESPN. The PSAs are an extension of the award-winning Think Before You Speak campaign and GLSEN’s “Changing the Game” initiative.
