Simon has worked across every outlet at the BBC, presenting business news on the one o'clock, six o'clock and ten o’clock news and as the face of BBC Breakfast’s business news. He is currently the Business and Economics Presenter on Radio 4's Today Programme.
The reach of the programme dwarfs that of national newspapers with an audience of 7 million. Simon hosts the business slot at 6.15am which is listened to by an audience of almost exclusively ABC1 professionals. To help officially launch Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) has released a new public service announcement featuring Emmy® Award-winning sports anchor and prostate cancer survivor, Brian Custer. This survivor story aims to raise awareness about the importance of prostate cancer screening among African-American men by delivering a simple message: Man Up and Get Checked.
“As men, we have this ego…we think we’re too macho to go to the doctor and undergo this type of check-up,” said Custer, who hosts Showtime Championship Boxing. “But the truth is: If you don’t get checked, you’re cheating your family out of having a husband or father around. And you’re cheating yourself out of life. I hope when people hear my story, they’re motivated to take action by saying: ‘I’m going to get checked, I’m going to make sure my dad or husband gets checked, too.’”

Seattle – The EMP Museum board of directors announced today that EMP is now the Museum of Pop Culture – MoPOP. The name MoPOP better reflects the museum’s vision for curating, exploring, and supporting creative works that shape and inspire our lives across many aspects of our culture. The museum will launch the new name on November 19, 2016 with a celebration that is free and open to the public.
“MoPOP reflects who we are today and the future of the museum,” said Patty Isacson Sabee, CEO and director of MoPOP. “Pop culture is a platform that resonates with audiences in a powerful way. And at MoPOP we provide avenues through our exhibits and programs for people to explore, learn, create, and celebrate pop culture in all of its diversity.” Founded by Paul G. Kiehl’s Since 1851, the 166-year-old skincare company, has used its fleet of iconic motorcycles to raise funds and awareness for AIDS research and awareness for the eighth year in a row. Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR, a charitable motorcycle ride from Minneapolis to Nashville, July 31 to Aug. 7, has already raised more than $125,000 for amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research and fundraising will continue through August.
Kiehl’s President Chris Salgardo and amfAR CEO Kevin Robert Frost led the 1,200 mile, 8-day journey, accompanied by actors Tyler Posey, Gilles Marini and Ian Bohen, tattoo artist Luke Wessman, and TV hosts Anthony Carrino and Grant Reynolds. Over eight days, the riders participated in nine public events, meeting customers and educating about HIV/AIDS research.

As the most-visited travel destination in the United States, the Orlando tourism community was quickly up and running post-Hurricane Irma, hosting eager visitors from around the world.
