Hold your nose. This story stinks…literally! New York is used to its fair share of interesting smells, but for the first time ever, the city had the odorous honor of hosting the Annual Odor-Eaters National Rotten Sneaker Contest, a competition that tests just how offensive sneakers can get. Ready to be judged were seven finalists, ages five to fourteen, from across the nation. They gathered at Ripley's Believe It or Not! in Times Square today wearing the decrepit and redolent rubber-soles that won them regional recognition. Only one competitor's sneakers were declared the stinkiest, and they belonged to 12 year old Jordan Armstrong from White Sands Missile Range, Las Cruces, NM.

Halloween Wars returns to Food Network for its fourth season, premiering Sunday, October 5th at 9pm ET/PT. Witness five teams, consisting of a pumpkin carving expert, a cake decorator, and sugar artist, as they battle it out over four episodes to create heart-stopping Halloween-themed displays, guaranteed to scare the daylights out of viewers. Siegfried & Roy will introduce the world to the newest additions to their animal family when four six-week-old tiger cubs make their first appearance at Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage Hotel & Casino on September 12 at noon.
Born on August 5 at the Secret Garden to mother Indira and father Svengali, these are the first tiger cubs to be introduced at The Mirage in five years. Animal lovers from around the world will be able to watch and follow the cubs’ journey using the Twitter and Instagram handle @SARMOTIcubs and on Facebook at Facebook.com/SARMOTIcubs.
“Our newest ‘Ambassadors of Conservation’ play an important role in our never-ending quest to protect these animals,” said Roy. “It is imperative to continue our conservation efforts to save these magnificent tigers for future generations to enjoy and cherish.”

Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization that produces Sesame Street, and IBM (NYSE:IBM) today announced a collaboration to use IBM Watson’s cognitive computing technology and Sesame’s early childhood expertise to help advance preschool education around the world.
As part of a three-year agreement, Sesame Workshop and IBM will collaborate to develop educational platforms and products that will be designed to adapt to the learning preferences and aptitude levels of individual preschoolers. Research shows that a significant extent of brain development occurs in the first five years of a child’s life1, making this window critical for learning and development.

Sifu Patrick van Steen from Holland, explains Ng Ying Kungfu, Five Animal Kung Fu drills with ropes. Patrick van Steen was a martial arts student under Christopher Fournier.
Fu Hu Kuen is a Tiger Fist form of Five Animal Kung Fu or Ng Ying Kungfu. Ng Ying Kungfu is a form of martial arts which originated in the Southern Shaolin Temple of Fukien.
It was master Christopher Fournier who starting teaching the art publicly in 1993. Dutch martial arts master Patrick van Steen aka Long Juan Feng was his personal student and earned a license of full transmission under Christopher Fournier.
