Located in the southern end of Colorado's San Luis Valley, Crestone

Australian-based audio company RØDE Microphones has announced the iXY, a stereo microphone for iPhone and iPad and iPod touch with 30-pin connector that allows high quality recording at sampling rates up to 24-bit/96kHz, the only microphone on the market to do so. A new Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) report titled The Silent Pandemic: Tackling Hepatitis C with Policy Innovation, made possible as a result of an educational grant from Janssen Pharmaceutica NV and published today, highlights the urgent need for countries around the world to develop strategies to tackle head-on the growing social and economic issues associated with Hepatitis C (HCV).
While the total number of infected individuals is unknown due to a lack of available data, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that approximately 150 million people globally are currently living with the blood-borne infectious disease, HCV. Of these, up to two thirds will develop chronic liver disease and one in five will develop cirrhosis. HCV is also the leading cause of liver transplantation worldwide and in the US the disease now accounts for more deaths than HIV.

The press conference has been convened for the official launch of IAGTO’s 2nd Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC) that will take place in Pattaya from 29 April to 2 May this year. The AGTC is the largest and most important gathering of Asia’s golf tourism industry. IAGTO will be bringing to Thailand 150 golf tour operators from 35 countries who all sell golf holidays to Asian golf destinations.
