Being a professional financial planner requires more than just being good with numbers. Today’s advisors must develop skills that can help them build personal ties with clients, understand their needs and create a strategy to help families pursue their goals.
Eager to produce “job ready” graduates, many universities and colleges are teaching the real world skills young advisors need in the workplace. And to help more schools take their programs to the next level, TD Ameritrade Institutional1 has awarded its third annual Next Gen Financial Planning Grants: a $50,000 grant to the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, to expand an existing financial planning degree program, and $25,000 to Temple University in Philadelphia to foster development of a new program.

The Cultural Corps of Korean Buddhism has successfully completed its Templestay and Temple food exhibition, experience and lecture on the theme of 'Pyeongchang Winter Olympics with Templestay' in New York, the city of global culture, from September 24 through 30, 2017.
In addition to the New York citizens, this event introduces Templestay and temple food to the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in New York, Korean Cultural Center New York, Korea Tourism Organization New York Office and related officials in Korea, cultural arts associations, local media in New York.
Over 100 participants experienced various Templestay activities and temple food tasting at the Astor Center, New York. Among them, the lotus flower lantern making was the most popular activity, and Ssambap and natural potato chips were particularly among the food favorites.

Laura Bonthuis from the Netherlands is performing different aspects of Shaolin Temple Martial Arts from the Henan province in China. She was a kickboxing student under Wim Scharrenberg and a Shaolin Martial Arts practitioner in Apeldoorn the Netherlands
From the Henan Shaolin Temple came the Shaolin Martial Arts. Shaolin Kungfu has many skills and weapons. This Staff form is called: Zhui Feng Gun 'Wind Chaser Staff' 追風棍 and is done by Jean Luc Grandjean from Apeldoorn city in the Netherlands.
Fu Hu Kuen is a Tiger Fist form of Five Animal Kung Fu or Ng Ying Kungfu. Ng Ying Kungfu is a form of martial arts which originated in the Southern Shaolin Temple of Fukien.
It was master Christopher Fournier who starting teaching the art publicly in 1993. Dutch martial arts master Patrick van Steen aka Long Juan Feng was his personal student and earned a license of full transmission under Christopher Fournier.
