The II Moscow International Forum for Innovative Development “Open Innovations”, which was held in Moscow from October 31 to November 1, 2013, confirmed its role of a global discussion platform in the field of technological innovations.
For two consecutive years now, “Open Innovations” has become the largest event in Russia and one of the biggest events in the world, demonstrating the major trends and key developments in innovative sectors of the economy. Open Innovations Expo 2013, which exposition has become a unique platform for the development and demonstration of advanced technologies, exchange of experience in successful implementing of innovative projects, as well as effective interaction between government, science and business was held within the framework of the Forum.

For the first time at SPIEF, three sessions of the Global CEO Summit were also held, organized jointly with the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. As part of SPIEF 2014, 175 agreements were signed with Russian and foreign companies, including 15 agreements on the implementation of investment projects in various spheres of the economy worth a total of RUB 401.4 billion.

The III Moscow International Forum for Innovative Development "Open Innovations" and the Open Innovations Expo in 2014 were organized by Russia in partnership with the People's Republic of China. On 14 October the heads of governments of the two countries held a plenary session -"The Emerging Global Innovation Map: Closing the Gap Between Countries." International cooperation was also discussed during the event "Innovation Dialogue: Partners Interaction Over Innovation Policy".

The first International Forum "Future Energy: reducing CO2 emissions" has laid the foundations for the preparation of strategic content for EXPO-2017, the starting point of a broad international dialogue on its subject, "Future Energy".
The event was a platform for the development of research projects on the subject of the exhibition and its sub-topics: reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the introduction of energy-efficient technologies and the provision of universal access to sustainable energy.

Astana Economic Forum 2015 is set to take place in Astana, Kazakhstan 21-22 of May, with the main topic of the forum being “Infrastructure - a driver of sustainable economic growth”.
The Europe and Asia forum aims to raise discussion around the issues of modernisation of public administration institutes, as well as the role of state institutes in stimulating innovations.
A group of experts, heads of financial institutions and high-level statesmen will also be looking at how a partnership between Europe and Asia would ensure global growth and create a competitive ecosystem to support innovation efforts in both regions.

The IV Eurasian Higher Education Leaders Forum (EHELF) took place at Nazarbayev University, Astana, Kazakhstan, June 10-12. Each year, more than 300 attendees, industry leaders, from different parts of the world participate in discussions and panel sessions at EHELF.
The theme of this year’s Forum was “Graduate Employability in the 21st Century: key competencies and modern labor market.” “Nazarbayev University took the initiative and created EHELF, a platform for discussing pressing issues in higher education in Kazakhstan as well as globally. Our Steering Committee researches and chooses the most relevant topics for the Forum each year. The topic of EHELF-2015, employability of graduates, employment and labor market, is relevant for us,” - says Shigeo Katsu, the President of Nazarbayev University. “Nazarbayev University is a unique university established in partnerships with some of the world’s best universities. And this year, we are graduating our first cohort of 446 undergraduate and graduate students. The Astana Economic Forum is among the world’s most prestigious expert dialogue platforms. The 6th forum has become a record-breaking one by every measure by gathering 18,200 participants from 98 countries. During three thematic day-long sessions on business, government and society, presentations of more than 650 speakers took place.
Within the framework of the forum business program and in the press center 42 agreements were signed, including 24 partnership agreements with the Skolkovo Foundation. Notably some agreements deal with billion ruble infrastructural projects, such as, e.g. deploying the 5G network in Skolkovo, while other ones suggest direct investments of hundred million rubles, such as the agreement between VEB and IIDF amounting to 200 million dollars or the agreement between IBS company and “Skolkovo Venture – IT I” amounting to 100 million rubles.
