The aluminum-body 2015 Ford F-150 crew cab swept the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s full slate of crashworthiness evaluations to qualify for a 2015 TOP SAFETY PICK award. The F-150 extended cab turned in a good performance in 4 of 5 assessments but stumbled in the small overlap front test. The results are the first ratings for large pickups in a group the Institute is evaluating this year.
The F-150 crew cab, which Ford calls the SuperCrew, earns good ratings for occupant protection in all five IIHS crashworthiness evaluations — small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint evaluations. The extended cab, or SuperCab, earns good ratings in the moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint evaluations but just a marginal rating for occupant protection in a small overlap front crash.
Last Tuesday night, Laetitia Casta and La Maison Cointreau announced the launch of the Cointreau Creative Crew in the Pompadour Ballroom at the Hotel Café Royal in London. A worldwide philanthropist programme curated by Creative Director Laetitia Casta, the Cointreau Creative Crew aims to develop women’s freedom and encourage them to make their dreams a reality. Launching for the first time in the UK, this programme will culminate in one entrepreneur being awarded a £20,000 bursary to support their creative project which will be announced in Spring 2016.
Decorated with Cointreau elegantly dressed in soft furnishings and floral arrangements, the Pompadour Ballroom played host to 150 guests on the night. The former French model looked stunning and was joined on the night by a host of A-list celebrities including Ella Eyre, Donna Air, Charlie XCX and Laetitia Casta. The new promotion marks the official kick-off to Mountain Dew’s interactive The Dark Knight Rises campaign by putting the power in the hands of the fans to determine which of four “Dark Knight”-inspired paint schematics will appear on Earnhardt’s No. 88 Chevrolet. Each paint scheme captures a different element featured in the third and final installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy and time will tell if Batman or Gotham City’s newest terrorist, Bane will win out, or if fans will select The Dark Knight Rises logo as part of Earnhardt’s paint scheme. Earnhardt himself will also get his ownsignature “Dark Knight” look thanks to a custom fire suit that will also make its race debut in Michigan on June 15.
