The 23 year old JAMES MOONY proves how energetic and confident a young artist can sound on his debut album. “Emer g enc y“ is a bubbling hybrid of Jamaican Dancehall, Southern HipHop and British Grime which doesn t knock on club doors but storms on the dancefloor and tears down anything in ist way. It isn t hard to hear that JAMES MOONY is at his best firing lines over mighty basses, never giving the listener a chance to catch his breath. His presence on the microphone allows him to cope without any features on all 13 tracks. It s all about his visions, his lyrics and his voice. The album was recorded and produced by the producer trio Come Clean, who supplied the young vocalist with energetic instrumentals. jamesmoony Born in Ghanas Capital Accra, in 1985, Mumuni Mohammed gathered his first musical experiences singing in the local choir. In the mid 90s he then moved to Austria s Capital Vienna, together with his parents. It was in Vienna where he had his initial contact with the club atmosphere and discovered his passion for driving, electronic sounds. In the year 2000 he then took his first own musical steps, setting up his home studio and absolving his first shows. Two years later he became a part of KDC, a HipHop and Dancehall formation, with whom he performed in Clubs in and around the cities borders. In the year 2007 JAMES MOONY moved again. This time he decided to reside in Germany s Capital, or more specifically Berlin-Kreuzberg, where the producer trio Come Clean took up their work with him. Die Deutsche Umwelthilfe (DUH) ist nicht dafür bekannt, allzu autofreundlich zu sein. Mit zahlreichen Vorschlägen für einen effektiveren Umweltschutz hat sie jedoch auch immer wieder Denkanstöße gegeben und wäre vielleicht erfolgreicher, wenn sie nicht häufig übers Ziel hinausschösse. So jetzt auch auf einer Presse-Konferenz in Berlin, wo die Testergebnisse von realistischen Verbrauchsmessungen bekannt gegeben wurden. Bei diesem Anlass erklärte nämlich Dr. Axel Friedrich, früherer Leiter der Abteilung Verkehr und Lärm im Umweltbundesamt: „Die Stadt ist für ein Treffen für Menschen und nicht für Autos gemacht. Bis auf die notwendigen Lieferverkehre, um die Stadt am Leben zu erhalten, sollte man das Auto aus den Innenstädten herausnehmen.“ Eine steile These von Dr. Friedrich, der bis auf die Schlagworte Parkraumbewirtschaftung und Spurenverringerung – die ja teilweise schon umgesetzt werden – allerdings keinen wirklich Vorschlag machte, wie die Mobilität ohne Individual-Verkehr aufrecht erhalten werden kann. Denn das Busse, die Straßenbahn oder die S-Bahn beim Personenverkehr weniger Raum benötigen, gilt nur, wenn diese Transportmittel gut gefüllt und nicht – teilweise – fast leer ihre Routen abspulen. Und sorgen erst recht nicht für ein Treffen der Menschen in einer Stadt, wenn diese öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel vor allem an Wochenenden nur in größeren zeitlichen Abständen verkehren. Zugegeben - leicht ist es nicht, die individuellen Bedürfnisse mit den Möglichkeiten des ja ohnehin sehr kostenintensiven ÖPNV zu kombinieren. Ganz abgesehen davon, dass ja nicht jeder Stadtbewohner es nur fünf oder zehn Gehminuten bis zur Haltestelle hat. Richtig an der These von Dr. Friedrich ist derzeit also nur die wiederum sehr alte These, dass etwas gegen die verstopften Innenstädte getan werden muss. Doch da müssen schon intelligentere Ideen als die Herausnahme der Autos aus den Städten auf den Tisch. Wäre ja unter anderem auch eine Aufgabe für die Deutsche Umwelthilfe, die sich nicht nur aus Spenden, sondern auch durch öffentliche Fördermittel finanziert.
Die Abgasuntersuchung (AU) ist in ihrer aktuellen Form nicht geeignet, um Fehler in der Abgasreinigung verlässlich aufzudecken und unnötige und vermeidbare Luftverschmutzung zu verhindern. Zu diesem Ergebnis kommt die Deutsche Umwelthilfe e.V. (DUH) nach eigenen Messungen und forderte deshalb heute auf einer Presse-Konferenz in Berlin angesichts der aktuellen Revision der EU-Verordnung zur AU eine rasche Anpassung der Abgasuntersuchung. Die Umwelt- und Verbraucherschutzorganisation hatte mehrere Dieselfahrzeuge prüfen lassen, die vorher die AU durchlaufen hatten. Das nicht akzeptable Ergebnis: Die Hälfte der Autos erhielt die Prüfplakette nach geltenden Kriterien, obwohl ihre Emissionen nachweislich stark erhöht waren.
