Growing up inner city, Watts, California, Kevin never imagined himself as an athletic icon, especially in track and field. However, in high school after joining the track and field team, it was clear that Kevin had the talent for speed and agility. In the 1992 Barcelona Olympic games, Kevin earned a gold medal and became the new world record holder for the 400m hurdles at 46.78 seconds. After mental and physical preparation for the Barcelona Olympic games, Kevin knew he could focus on the goal and beat the 11-year standing world record for the 400m hurdles. 15 years later, his world record still holds at 46.78 seconds. 24-hour preschool television channel Sprout is set to premiere its newest original series, The Chica Show (26 × 11’ episodes), on Saturday, November 24 at 11:30 a.m. ET, with encore presentations at 5:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. ET. Promoting social-emotional development in preschoolers through creative play, The Chica Show is a mix of live action and animation that follows the imaginative adventures of Chica and her cast of friends (including Stitches, an animated character voiced by Mario Lopez) as they explore all the whimsical, humorous costumes and accessories in the Costume Coop – a playful shop filled with every costume imaginable. Each episode takes the viewer on a journey into Chica’s imagination where problems are solved, questions are answered and adventure filled lands are explored.

Sydney Festival 2015 will see 18 world premiere performances including Masquerade based on the iconic children’s book by Kit Williams, and 11 Australian premiere works including Quebec’s Cirque Alfonse in Timber!, Roysten Abel’s newest work The Kitchen, and a taste of Belgian theatrical flair in Kiss & Cry a dance work for a duo of hands.
