Actress and multi-platinum recording artist Selena Gomez will perform LIVE at AT&T Stadium during halftime of the Dallas Cowboys game against the Oakland Raiders on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, which kicks off The Salvation Army’s annual Red Kettle Campaign. According to a new AARP poll1, almost three out of ten people who are caring for a loved one say their life has changed since becoming a caregiver. More than one in five says their weight, exercise, or social life has suffered.
To illustrate the complexity and help the 42 million sons and daughters, friends and spouses caring for parents and loved ones see themselves as caregivers, AARP and the Ad Council are unveiling a new suite of Public Service Advertisements (PSAs) as part of their Caregiver Assistance campaign. The Amgen Foundation today announced $2.5 million in new grants for the Amgen Biotech Experience, an innovative science education program, bringing the total committed to nearly $8 million since the program’s inception in 1990. The Amgen Biotech Experience provides a real-world biotech lab experience to middle and high schools in Amgen’s U.S. and United Kingdom (U.K.) communities and will engage more than 50,000 students this year. Education Development Center, Inc. (EDC), a global nonprofit organization that creates learning opportunities around the world, has also been named Program Office to oversee the program’s implementation and facilitate its continued development.

More than 80,000 healthcare workers and their communities from across the country and around the world joined together in the Medline Pink Glove Dance for breast cancer online video competition. After a hard-fought dance battle, the online votes are in and Medline is pleased to name Geisinger Health System, Danville, Pa., as the winner. As a result, $25,000 will be donated to their charity of choice, the American Cancer Society, providing free transportation for treatment to central Pennsylvania breast cancer patients in need. Additionally, Medline and participating hospitals will donate another $1 million to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and various local breast cancer charities nationwide. More than $2.2 million has been donated through the campaign and Medline Foundation since 2005.

On December 4, 2013 a new Pulkovo Terminal 1 has started operating. Its total area exceeds 110,000 sq. m and it has a maximum capacity of 17 million passengers per year.
In the new terminal there are 88 check-in counters, 110 passport control booths, and 7 baggage belts, one of which can alternatively handle the luggage of passengers arriving by domestic or international flights. The terminal is equipped with jetways, 45 elevators, and 17 escalators.
