High-powered rapid charging eVgosm Freedom Station® sites were recently installed by eVgo, a subsidiary of NRG Energy, Inc. at Cracker Barrel® stores in Kingwood, League City, Pearland and West Houston. The charging stations, available around-the-clock for eVgo network subscribers, are part of NRG’s plan to enhance their Texas network and provide more charging options to give greater range confidence to electric car drivers.

Ein 415 PS starkes SUV das von einem V6-Benziner und zwei Elektromotoren befeuert wird, aber nur drei Liter auf 100 Kilometer verbraucht. Mit dem neuen Rapid dürfte Skoda das richtige Auto für die Chinesen haben, die sich zum ersten Mal überhaupt ein Auto kaufen. Auch wenn das für uns kaum vorstellbar ist, gibt es davon im Reich der Mitte immer noch eine ganze Menge. Opel ist nach fünfjähriger Abstinenz wieder auf der wichtigsten Automesse Chinas und hat dazu drei neue Modelle, die im Laufe des Jahres dort auf den Markt kommen werden, mitgebracht. Die Autoshow in Shanghai zeigt, dass das Auto im boomenden China einen ganz hohen Stellenwert hat. Auch wenn inzwischen das Thema Umweltverträglichkeit wichtiger geworden ist, als noch vor einigen Jahren, ist es mehr als nur ein Transportmittel. Vielmehr ist das richtige Auto ein Accessoire um sein Image aufzupolieren und Eindruck zu machen. Und Europäische Autos werden deshalb auch zukünftig in der Käufergunst weiter vorne liegen.
Beim diesjährigen traditionellen GTI-Treffen am Wörthersee präsentierte Skoda gleich fünf sportliche Modelle. Highlight war die zweifelsohne die Weltpremiere der Studie Rapid SPORT. Außerdem mit dabei der neue Octavia Combi mit Sportpaket, den Citigo Motorsport der Fabia RS Motorsport sowie der erfolgreiche Rallyewagen Fabia S2000. Der Rapid SPORT zeigt das Potential des Skoda Designs und die Möglichkeiten, die im Rapid stecken. Das Fahrzeug ist in den Metallicfarben Corrida-Rot und Steel-Grau lackiert. Satt und markant steht der Sportwagen auf seinen wuchtigen 19-Zoll-Leichtmetall-Rädern. Die Fahrzeugfront besticht durch Spoiler und den kraftvoll gestalteten Lufteinlass in der Schürze. Großzügig dimensionierte Kotflügel und massive Schweller unterstreichen den Auftritt des Fahrzeugs. Weitere sportliche Akzente setzt das Heck mit dem voluminösen Stoßfänger und zwei integrierten Auspuff Endrohren. Pünktlich zur Markteinführung des neuen Octavia Combi präsentierte der tschechische Autobauer auch ein Sportpaket für den Lademeister. Zur Ausstattung gehören ein Frontgrill in glänzendem Schwarz sowie ein rot-schwarzer Frontspoiler. Die Spiegelkappen und die Dachträger sind schwarz-glänzend, der Heckdiffusor in Rot und Schwarz gehalten. Pure Dynamik zeigt auch der Citigo Motorsport: Wirkungsvoll kontrastiert die weiße Wagenfarbe mit schwarzen Längsstreifen auf der Motorhaube und dem dunkel verglasten Panoramadach. Ein spezielles ‚Sport-Kit' umfasst Front- und Dachspoiler sowie Heck-Diffusor, jeweils in der Farbe ‚Deep Black'. In der Frontansicht fällt ein dekorativer schwarzer Streifen am unteren Stoßfänger ins Auge. Der ŠKODA Citigo Motorsport steht auf 16-Zoll-Leichtmetallrädern, alternativ in Weiß oder in der Kombination Schwarz-Metallic/Silber. Ein kompaktes Kraftpaket ist der Fabia RS Motorsport - Edition UK. Das Fahrzeug ist in Candy-Weiß lackiert, dazu gehören schwarze Elemente als spannender Kontrast: Das Dach ist schwarz, ebenso der Frontgrill. Die Frontscheinwerfer sind schwarz hinterlegt, die Nebelscheinwerfer schwarz eingefasst. Die Dachlinie endet mit einem schwarzen Spoiler. Getönte Scheiben betonen den sportlichen Charakter. Ein besonderer Hingucker in Reifnitz war der Rallyewagen Fabia S2000. Das Fahrzeug gehört zu den erfolgreichsten Autos des internationalen Rallyesports.
