Local theatre company, North Shore Players, presents Ben Elton\\\'s first West End success and 2nd play sandwiched between his other stage work \\\'Gasping\\\' and \\\'Popcorn\\\'.
Although first performed in 1991 at London\\\'s Haymarket Theatre, Silly Cow, is still very relevant in today\\\'s celebrity obsessed culture and will keep you either laughing or on the edge of your seat throughout.
This is the first production staged by North Shore Players and is an ideal summer\\\'s evening of entertainment providing the very best of Elton\\\'s comic stage work. Come along, support some local new talent and indulge in some of the funniest theatre you\\\'ll experience this year!

On the eve of World Cancer Day 2015, amidst the ongoing cost-of-cancer-care debate, PACE (Patient Access to Cancer care Excellence), a Lilly Oncology initiative, is launching the PACE Continuous Innovation Indicators™ (CII). CII is the first evidence-based, customizable online tool to review progress against cancer over time—initially covering 12 cancer types. The purpose of the tool is to inform public policy reforms and other efforts to accelerate continuous innovation against cancer.
“We have seen tremendous progress in cancer treatment and care during the past decades, and continuous innovation, with one discovery building on another, is responsible for most of it,” said John C. On Saturday, May 30, 2015, four space shuttle astronauts will be inducted into the United States Astronaut Hall of Fame® during a public ceremony held at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s Space Shuttle AtlantisSM attraction: John Grunsfeld, Ph. D., Steven Lindsey, Kent Rominger, and M. Rhea Seddon, M.D.
These astronaut heroes will join the ranks of well-known space explorers including Alan Shepard, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. This year marks the historic 25th anniversary of the Hall of Fame, which was conceived in the 1980s by the six remaining Mercury astronauts as a place where space explorers could be remembered. Past Hall of Fame inductees include Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab and Space Shuttle astronauts.
