Butta Verses, a Bronx-bred rapper who now calls Fort Lauderdale, Florida home, made his debut appearance on De La Soul’s 2004 release The Grind Date spitting back to back with Posdonus on the song “No.” Butta’s name was bestowed upon him by fellow MCs at local ciphers but once his mixtape reached the ears of DJ Maseo from De La Soul, his rhymes started reaching neighborhoods around the world. Maseo signed Butta to his Bear Mountain Entertainment label and he began touring with De La Soul to promote The Grind Date. Butta released several mixtapes while playing over 200 shows on De La Soul’s international tour and began recording with his crew GCD (Glee Club Detention) as well as Seattle’s Vitamin D and Bean One for his Bear Mountain debut, Brand Spankin.
Having completed his term with Bear Mountain, Butta focused on live performances, sharing the stage with such veterans as Wu Tang Clan, KRS-One, Boot Camp Click and many others. Though no longer signed with Maseo, Butta was heard in late 2006 on De La Soul’s old-school flavored track, “You Got It” from Impossible Mission. All along, Butta has seen a great deal of his catalog licensed for television (NBC’s Saturday Night Live and A&E’s Dog The Bounty Hunter, to name a couple) and ringtones through his partnership with NYC-based licensing company, Beats and Rhymes.
Today, Butta is wrapping up his follow-up album, Six Minutes To Ten, with such guests as CL Smooth, and A-Butta of Natural Elements with production help from The Mighty V.I.C. and Tzarizm among others. March of 2007 will see the release of an exclusive Butta V track produced by Marco Polo on hip-hop upstart label Audio Clutch. The label's debut release will be available in record stores and online everywhere. Expect more from this rising star in 2007.

The LifeForm art created by Hanni B. is quite unique. Most find it evocative and scintillating. Some appear shocked at the erotic depictions but deep inside they are impressed and aroused. The vibrant colors and bold geometric patterns flow fluidly as a 3-dimensional extrusion, rising above the organic curves below. The images evoke visions of supernatural forces, giving rise to god-like powers. But the curves are unmistakably human. The Rhythm Foundation is a non-profit organization celebrating its 19th season of presenting outstanding international artists in South Florida. They are the foremost presenter of world music in South Florida - presenting more than 250 concerts, events and festivals by established and innovative artists from around the world. Special focus is given to those cultures connecting to South Florida audiences - music from Brazil, Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and Europe. They present an average of 15 concerts and festivals each year at various venues in South Florida.

Growing up inner city, Watts, California, Kevin never imagined himself as an athletic icon, especially in track and field. However, in high school after joining the track and field team, it was clear that Kevin had the talent for speed and agility. In the 1992 Barcelona Olympic games, Kevin earned a gold medal and became the new world record holder for the 400m hurdles at 46.78 seconds. After mental and physical preparation for the Barcelona Olympic games, Kevin knew he could focus on the goal and beat the 11-year standing world record for the 400m hurdles. 15 years later, his world record still holds at 46.78 seconds. Known for his hits in the 80’s like Because I Love You and Party Your Body, Stevie B has continued his Freestyle influence today with a remake of his popular song, Spring Love and his new album, “This Time.” Stevie B started in South Florida and his songs frequented the Latin nightclubs of Miami and Ft. Lauderdale before hitting the mainstream US music scene. Stevie B was one of the first musicians to perform Freestyle, a popular music style that started in the Latino communities of Miami and New York and is characterized by Latin rhythms, heartthrob lyrics and electronic music. The first item he created was a hot rod shifter made of aluminum, and in the shape of a skull. Skulls are a common theme in Ryk’s work, his inspiration coming from a dream he had when he was a child. With showrooms in Tokyo and Los Angeles, Ryk is expanding his business to reach more customers. He is also expanding his product line to include custom apparel and print work.
