Dhyan Chand (29 August 1905 – 3 December 1979) was an Indian field hockey player widely considered to be one of the greatest players of all time. It was cards at the ready in Liverpool, as Steven Gerrard and Tim Howard went head to head in the first Merseyside derby of the season. The pair swapped a grass pitch for a cardboard one, in a game that marked the release of the new Topps Match Attax collection.
