Pek çok hayvan (buna biz insanlar da dahiliz) problem çözme yetisine sahipler. Beyinlerini kullanmayı ve düşünmeyi gerektiren pek çok bilmecenin altından rahatlıkla kalkıyorlar. Ancak bugün hala ilkel inançlardan doğan bir söylem almış başını gidiyor: "Hayvanlar düşünemez, Allah aklı sadece insana bahşetmiştir."
Kendimizi üstün görme anlayışına sahip olduğumuz ne yazık ki bir gerçek. Bu durum akrabalarımızın ve diğer canlıların başarılarını hep gözardı etmemize ya da önyargıyla yaklaşmamıza sebep oluyor. Sadece primatlar değil pek çok türden canlı bugün düşünmelerini gerektiren zeka problemlerinin üstesinden ustalıkla geliyorlar.

Continuing a multi-year string of quality and reliability awards and accolades, J.D. Power’s 2017 Initial Quality Study (IQS) today recognized Kia Motors as the highest-ranking nameplate in the United States for the second year in a row. Kia’s improvement to 72 problems per 100 vehicles marks the best nameplate performance within the last 20 years of the study, driven by five segment awards – the most of any nameplate — for the Soul (Compact Multi-Purpose Vehicle), Forte (Compact Car), Cadenza (Large Car), Niro (Small SUV) and Sorento (Midsize SUV). The Kia Soul took home an IQS award for the third consecutive year while Kia’s two newest models, Cadenza and Niro, were outstanding performers in their first model year, with the Kia Cadenza earning the top score among all models ranked in the study. Together with the Optima and Sportage , each of the seven award eligible Kia models included in the 2017 IQS study finished first or second in their respective categories.

The American Dental Association (ADA) today released tips for keeping tooth decay at bay during the holiday season.
“Sweet treats are everywhere during the holidays, from your office party to baking cookies in your own kitchen,” said Alice G. Boghosian, D.D.S., ADA spokesperson. “The key is to practice moderation and make healthy choices when you can. And don’t forget to brush twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste and clean between your teeth every day!”

The global credit crunch and the bad business news have not adversely affected Glasstec trade show in Düsseldorf. Higher visitor figures, the presence of additional exhibiting companies and a good sales and orders performance have resulted in a positive atmosphere among trade show organizers and glass industry representatives alike.
In spite of the credit crunch and a looming recession specialist trade show MEDICA is going from strength to strength. The show lured visitors with innovations and a broad-based general exhibition programme. As a result close to 140.000 people flocked to the fair in Düsseldorf. Nearly half of them came from abroad.
Tools are supposed to make normal life easier, at least that is how it should be. People with disabilities, however, are dependant on such tools in order to be able to live their lives in a normal way. Ten percent of the Germans live with a recognized disability - for these people - and for their families and carers - the fair RehaCare in Düsseldorf offers an array of already known devices - and some new ones are of course presented as well.
