Shell and the City of Dawson Creek today celebrate the opening of the Dawson Creek Reclaimed Water Project. The facility, process and associated infrastructure, will virtually eliminate Shell’s need to draw on local fresh water sources for the operation of its Groundbirch natural gas venture in Northeast British Columbia. The multi-million dollar facility will provide a new source of revenue for the City of Dawson Creek as well as additional water for industrial and municipal uses.
The City of Dawson Creek, some 1,191 kilometres northeast of Vancouver, is the centre of British Columbia’s natural gas and oil producing fields. The new treatment facility will help meet the water needs of all users including the people and municipality of the City of Dawson Creek.

Mountain Dew® announced today it will premiere a new commercial on Saturday, October 20, marking the culmination of the DEWeezy Project, a partnership with Grammy Award-winning recording artist, Lil Wayne.
In collaboration with the action sports youth development agency STOKED, the program enlisted 10 teens from the NYC area to work with brand and industry executives, including director Chris Robinson of Robot Films and Motive, a creative studio with offices in New York and Denver, to co-create a :30 second television commercial. The Smithsonian's National Museum of American History will open a unique hands-on learning space, the Patrick F. Taylor Foundation Object Project, July 1. Made possible by philanthropist Phyllis Taylor, the 4,000-square-foot space in the museum's new Innovation Wing will focus on “everyday things that changed everything.”
Anchored by an array of individual cases–some overhead, others with visitor-activated sound, light and motion effects–“Object Project” will invite visitors to interact with approximately 250 objects within the 9-by-40-foot sculpture that forms the learning space. The space is divided into four sections: Bicycles, Refrigerators, Ready-to-Wear Clothes and Household Hits, which includes a customized interactive version of “The Price Is Right” game show format licensed from FremantleMedia North America Inc.
