I see people at the gym get this one workout fundamental wrong all the time. Instead of doing some light cardio to get their blood flowing and their muscles warmed up they immediately begin stretching. You do not want to stretch cold muscles. A good analogy is a frozen candy bar - if you try to stretch it the bar just snaps, but take the same candy bar at or above room temperature and it becomes very pliable. The same holds true for your muscles. The optimal time to stretch is after your workout when your muscles are nice and warmed up not before our workout. If you aren't at the gym or all the cardio machines are being used all you need to do is jumping jacks and/or a little running in place to get your muscles warmed up and ready for your workout. As I'm approaching the time of certain eviction, I've been proving to myself what a little pressure can do to get the creative juices flowing and I am somewhat amazed by how quickly I have been creating and organizing enough videos that would have normally stretched out the span of this year and probably throughout 2014, all inside the time frame of a month. Particularly in the case of this song which is one of several songs that I have been working on that are somewhat more complex and exhibit my full potential as a musician. This song would have normally taken me a full year to compose and like some of my other prouder creations, I figured that there just was no time left for me to complete this kind of composition. Although admittedly I did rough it as I wrapped up the song in a day and took about one hour on the video but I think that with this one, I have successfully achieved my goal. I can always redo this at a later time when I get resettled and back in the groove.

Thought I'd share my rendition of Drake's

What I have here is another soundtrack style video. I've been contemplating for some time to feature some of my pencil drawings that I had done between 2000 - 2005 after all my musical gear got ripped off. Drawing is a lot cheaper and it gave me a chance to explore new dimensions in what would otherwise be mere sketching. I wanted to see how far I could take pencil work to a finalized portrait styled product in place of paints or pastels. I'm using Photo Story 3 for my video in place of Windows Movie Maker just to get a feel for something new. One thing that I have learned about drawing though is that I have a lot more fun making music.

I've just decided to upload this one since I created it back in 2007. One way of knowing that one of my songs is older is if there's any guitar in it. Although I still have my guitar, my Fender Sidekick started to short out back in 2011 and still serves me well as a coffee coaster or an ashtray table. Even the original warranty never told me that this baby would last me for a lifetime as a vital tool for my everyday living needs as I still need a nearby coffee or smoke to work on my more recent ventures.
