PetSafe® brand is offering pet parents an affordable, effective way to allow their pets to play safely in their yard with its new Free to Roam Wireless Fence™ system.
Traditional above-ground fences cost thousands of dollars and may not be an option for people living in rental properties. The PetSafe Free to Roam Wireless Fence provides a convenient solution for a fraction of the cost of traditional fencing.
The PetSafe Free to Roam Wireless Fence covers a circular area of up to half an acre or 180 feet in diameter. The boundaries can be adjusted from 5-90 feet in all directions of the indoor transmitter. Since the system is completely wireless, there are no unsightly cables to bury – simply plug the transmitter into a standard outlet.
“Our new Free to Roam Wireless Fence system is made with pets and owners in mind,” said Marcus Wolf, category manager for PetSafe Containment and Avoidance products. “A wireless fence gives pet parents peace of mind to let their dogs safely enjoy their yard. It makes it easy and fun for pets and their parents to enjoy fresh air and exercise.”

For the busy, urban pet owner, it can sometimes be difficult to provide the structure, time and care pets need to thrive. Since city-dwelling pet owners face different challenges than their suburban counterparts, PetSafe® brand has compiled a line of products that cater to downtown dogs, cats and their owners. The line includes products designed to help urban pet owners automatically feed their pet on time, create safe zones in small living areas, improve morning walks and please neighbors with less barking.
“Pets bring so much joy to our lives, but caring for a pet while living in a smaller, urban space can be somewhat tricky, especially if you’re lacking some of the amenities that are more common among suburban living,” said Willie Wallace, CEO of Radio Systems® Corporation, makers of PetSafe branded product. “With so many products available on the market today, it’s difficult to determine which best suit your lifestyle and needs. Our goal is to simplify the pet ownership process by compiling a go-to resource of the top products for downtown living.”

Zelda was found filthy, hungry and matted. Barely recognizable as a dog, her rescuers cleaned her up to reveal a tiny Shih Tzu. Unfortunately, Zelda’s story is similar to the nearly 8 million other animals entering shelters each year. That’s why Wahl has teamed up with GreaterGood.org to donate funds and grooming supplies to shelters nationwide. The goal: Transform more than 20,000 dogs this year and get them ready for adoption.
“Due to lack of resources, less than half of dogs entering shelters are getting the grooming they desperately need,” says Shay Moeller, pet product manager for Wahl. “First impressions are crucial, and without proper grooming, many of these dogs are perceived to be ‘damaged goods.’ By providing shelters with much-needed grooming supplies, we can transform these dogs into the healthy, fun loving pets they really are.”

Today, Subaru of America, Inc. debuted its all-new, three-row, 2019 Ascent SUV in a way that only Subaru could. At a press event prior to the Los Angeles Auto Show, Subaru surprised attendees with the new vehicle in a special way – with The Barkleys – a family of eight Labrador and Golden Retrievers featured in Subaru advertising campaigns, seemingly driving the all-new Ascent and ending, safe and sound, on-stage. The dogs exited the vehicle to greet Tom Doll, president and COO of Subaru of America and pose for photos with the surprised crowd.
Dogs are a major pillar for the automaker as more than half of Subaru drivers are pet owners, with over 48% of them owning at least one dog. For years, Subaru has supported various pet-focused organizations that help to improve the lives of our four-legged friends and features dogs throughout their advertising. The all-new U.S. built Subaru Ascent is the automaker’s largest vehicle ever built boasting three full rows, fitting up to eight passengers, second row captain’s chairs as an option on some trim levels, its legendary Subaru Symmetrical all-wheel drive and an impressive all-new 2.4-liter turbo engine.
