We are a nation of pet lovers, yet sadly, four million adoptable cats and dogs are euthanized every year simply because there are not enough homes. In an inspiring new documentary, “The Journey Home: A Rescue Waggin’® Story,” PetSmart Charities depicts how its Rescue Waggin’ program is working to change this statistic by giving adoptable dogs and puppies a second chance at life.

In celebration of National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, radio host and entertainer Lance Bass and his husband Michael Turchin have joined The Shelter Pet Project in two new videos to share the love and joy that their adopted pets bring to their lives.
Bass, Turchin, and their rescued dogs, Lily, Foster and Dingo, are the stars of a new online video in the “Meet My Shelter Pet” series from The Shelter Pet Project. The Shelter Pet Project is a national public service campaign developed by the Ad Council, The Humane Society of the United States and Maddie’s Fund®. Its videos showcase the unique bonds between shelter pets and their owners, and direct viewers to their local shelter and rescue groups, where they can find amazing dogs and cats available for adoption. A second video, narrated by Bass, highlights the importance of shelter pet adoption and provides viewers with more information on how to adopt, while also addressing several misconceptions about the adoption process.

More than 8 million dogs enter shelters each year, and a vast majority of them are dirty and matted. Unfortunately, less than half of these dogs are getting the grooming they need so their lovable, adoptable selves can shine through. That’s why Wahl and GreaterGood.org have teamed up with shelters nationwide to demonstrate how the transformative power of grooming can help shelter dogs find their forever home.

Mouse was found hiding in the shadows. From the looks of him it was clear most of his 10 years had been very hard, but under the dirt and matted fur was a huge heart ready to give love. Thankfully, after a grooming Mouse quickly found his forever family, and was named America’s top shelter dog makeover in the 2016 Dirty Dogs Contest. His story stands as proof that a good bath can transform a dog’s life in more ways than one. The sad truth, however, is that less than half of the three million dogs entering shelters each year are getting the necessary grooming they need. That’s why Wahl has teamed up with GreaterGood.org to donate funds and grooming supplies to shelters nationwide. The goal: Transform more than 20,000 dogs this year to get them ready for adoption.

I used to think women who looked past my flaws were really cool women with brains, one of Los Angeles-based graphic artist Donny Miller's pictures broadcasts. Now I think they're just desperate. And so establishes his tone. Miller's bright, pop illustrations, often of smiling men and women, belie other bon mots like You are beautiful in every single way, except maybe one or two, Let's tell each other our darkest secrets. Later, when things go bad, we can use them against each other, and We think so much alike. Although, I have no idea what you're thinking. His hip wryness earned him a reputation and he parlayed his personal aesthetic into designing logos for companies like Vans, Paul Frank, and Toy Machine. This year, Miller's work was collected into his first book, Beautiful People With Beautiful Feelings (Abrams, 2006). To celebrate the release, Miller embarked on a book tour that concluded with a stop in New York City. During the day, he did radio spots, improv stand-up comedy, a gallery show, and canoed through Central Park to end world ignorance. At night, he stayed in a cramped 104-degree storefront on the Lower East Side donated by American Apparel with a custom-made red neon light that buzzed Live Animal.

A fainting goat is a breed of domestic goat whose external muscles freeze for roughly 10 seconds when the goat is
startled. Though painless, this generally results in the animal collapsing on its side. The characteristic is
caused by a hereditary genetic disorder called myotonia congenita. Older goats sometimes learn to lean against
something to prevent their falling over, and often they continue to run about in an awkward, stiff-legged shuffle.

In this clip Larry Weishun describes the feeling he gets right before he shoots an animal. He says the feeling is indescribable and that nothing gets close to that feeling. For more log on to: http://www.versuscountry.com/
