Based on data provided by the California Solar Initiative (CSI), sales of new production homes with rooftop solar power systems nearly doubled from 2011 to 2012, signaling increasing home buyer demand to control monthly electricity costs using clean, renewable solar power. An estimated 4,000 new production solar homes were built in California last year, ten times the number built just seven years ago during the housing construction boom. Almost every market around the world is shrinking at the moment, and so is the medical sector. According to the Federal Statistics Office in the first half of 2009 the German exports were down 2.5 percent, the largest market for exports still remains the United States. However the import market in Germany has managed to become stronger. The statisticians have recorded a 6 per cent gain in imports especially from the USA, Switzerland and Japan. Germany is therefore a highly competitive market in the global medical industry - the medical trade fair MEDICA in Duesseldorf has become the most important platform for manufacturers and customers.

Shell today produced its first oil and natural gas from the Perdido Development, the world’s deepest offshore drilling and production facility. Located in an isolated, ultra-deep sector of the Gulf of Mexico, Perdido marks a new era in innovation and safely unlocks domestic sources of energy for US consumers. The facility sits in approximately 2,450 meters (8,000 feet) of water, which is roughly equivalent to six Empire State Buildings stacked one atop the other, and will access reservoirs deep beneath the ocean floor. Perdido smashes the world water depth record for an offshore platform by more than 50%. To view Multimedia News Release, go to http://multivu.prnewswire.com/mnr/shelloil/41611/
