Four-time Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year, Kenny Chesney, will kick-off The Salvation Army’s 122nd annual Red Kettle Campaign with a LIVE performance at Cowboys Stadium during halftime of the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game against the Washington Redskins at 3:15PM (CT) on FOX. The nationally televised show marks the 16th year the Dallas Cowboys have helped The Salvation Army launch the campaign, which began on a San Francisco pier in 1891. Volvo Car Corporation is now ramping up production of the new Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid. After the initial batch of 1,000 model year 2013 cars, production will increase to 4,000–6,000 cars as of model year 2014.
The assembly of the world’s first diesel plug-in hybrid has been successfully integrated on the same line as the company’s other models at the Torslanda plant in Gothenburg.

The innovative campaign earned Leo Burnett the Ad Council’s top creative award of the year – the Gold Bell for Creative Excellence. Marc Pritchard, Global Branding Officer of The Proctor and Gamble Company and Ad Council Chairman of the Board, presented the award last night at the Ad Council’s 59th Annual Public Service Award Dinner. Silver and Bronze Bells were also awarded to Havas Worldwide New York and Grey New York for their work on the Unplanned Pregnancy Prevention and Stroke Awareness campaigns, respectively.

Global gold demand in Q3 2012 was 1,084.6 tonnes (t), down 11% from the record Q3 2011 figure of 1,223.5t. This dip in demand is in comparison with exceptional demand in Q3 last year. Gold demand remains resilient. Q3 2012 was above the five year quarterly average of 984.7t, according to the World Gold Council’s Gold Demand Trends Report.
In value terms gold demand was 14.0% lower year on year at $57.6bn and the average gold price of $1,652/oz was down 3% on the record average Q3 2011 price.
