The new site introduces important resources to help people better understand how health insurance works and what to expect from their coverage, including a series of white board videos explaining basic insurance terms like deductibles, copays and coinsurance, and how formularies and tiers work.

Research shows that patients who don’t consistently follow their regular medication regimen are at risk for death or hospitalization. An expert group of specialists have come together to develop three new educational resources: the Journal of Perioperative Medicine, the Journal of Neonatal Intensive Care and an open-access online portal. These resources provide practical advice on key clinical issues, tackle controversial topics on which a consensus is needed, and highlight clinical concerns that need to be addressed in clinical practice. WebMD Health Corp. Vioxx Settlement
This is an important announcement for consumers about the prescription drug Vioxx. Vioxx was a drug commonly used to treat pain and inflammation in adults with arthritis.
A settlement was reached with the manufacturer of Vioxx and will provide refunds to anyone who paid for the medication. Consumers are eligible to get $50 or more. Personal injury claims related to this drug are not included in this settlement.
The deadline to file a claim is approaching – claims must be filed by May 6, 2014.
