Mitch Rouse, the then owner of Yellow Cab, Los Angeles, founded SuperShuttle, the nation’s largest shared-ride airport shuttle service in 1983. Rouse got the idea when his brother-in-law ordered one of his cabs to pick up his family for a ski trip and the family couldn’t fit in a cab with all their equipment and SuperShuttle was born.
