Vitamin Bee, LLC today announced a new collaboration with the Bayer Bee Care Program through its “Vitamin Bee®” character to help promote the Feed a Bee initiative, bee advocacy and healthy nutrition awareness for children.
Created by veteran director and animator Geoffrey Kater, Vitamin Bee is the central character in a nutrition education program that encourages kids to eat nutritious foods and empowers them to make healthy lifestyle choices. Their approach is to teach children and have fun while doing it, with the help of a dynamic animated character, as well as an entire curriculum that entertains and educates through the use of videos, quizzes, activity sheets, games and hands-on lessons.
“Vitamin Bee is a great role model that teaches kids about the value of the honey bee to our planet, our food supply and our daily lives,” said Geoffrey Kater, creator of Vitamin Bee. “We hope that getting kids to appreciate the role of the honey bee at an early age will encourage them to be great bee advocates for their entire lives. Vitamin Bee speaks a language that kids understand and uses humor to teach them these important lessons. To help officially launch Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) has released a new public service announcement featuring Emmy® Award-winning sports anchor and prostate cancer survivor, Brian Custer. This survivor story aims to raise awareness about the importance of prostate cancer screening among African-American men by delivering a simple message: Man Up and Get Checked.
“As men, we have this ego…we think we’re too macho to go to the doctor and undergo this type of check-up,” said Custer, who hosts Showtime Championship Boxing. “But the truth is: If you don’t get checked, you’re cheating your family out of having a husband or father around. And you’re cheating yourself out of life. I hope when people hear my story, they’re motivated to take action by saying: ‘I’m going to get checked, I’m going to make sure my dad or husband gets checked, too.’”

Vandell’s debut record takes its namesake from that same title, one
that has been hard-earned by Vandell over years of intense work. The
African-native instrumentalist has released one of the more intriguing
and eclectic instrumental records thus far this year on the indie
scene. What makes the ‘One-Girl Symphony’ so interesting is Vandell’s
hand over a vast array of genres. The record style-hops with ridiculous
tact, shifting from classical influences to rock and roll and blues in
seamless movements. Speaking of which, there actually are movements.
Her debut album is broken into four autobiographical sections of three
songs each: Teenage Turbulence, The Formative Years, Return to
Innocence & Hope, and Empty Promises to Broken Hearts.
Tupac died when he was only 25 years old.
He was well on his way to becoming one of the great leaders and icons
of the next generation. I hope this song brings you back to when the
whole east coast was fueding with the west coast and how crazy the game
got. Tragically, that era will always be remembered by the murder of
2Pac and Biggie and not just the amazing music. This song is a
blatant borrowing of a very early Bob Dylan song called Davey Moore. I
added some words and switched some around in order to speak to the
mysterious murder of one of Hip-Hop's greatest: Tupac Shakur. It would have been great to see what young Tupac became when he grew older. May his memory be a blessing.

At the end of February 2015, a lantern donation and lighting ceremony was held in the village of Sone, in Indonesia's West Timor, as part of a related project. The “Cut Out the Darkness” project, a part of Panasonic Corporation's “100 Thousand Solar Lanterns Project”, delivers solar lanterns with lantern shades designed by people from around the world, in the hope of learning about the challenges of living in areas that have no electricity.

In recognition of National Animal Disaster Preparedness Day on May 9, 2015, Hill’s Pet Nutrition is encouraging pet parents to plan ahead by creating a pet emergency go-kit and following several easy tips to ensure the safety of their pets during a crisis.

Alimera Sciences, Inc. Every three minutes someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer. No one knows this better than “Nashville” star Charles Esten and his wife Patty. Esten’s 15-year-old daughter, Addie, was diagnosed with leukemia at age 2 ½. Naturally, their world was turned upside down. But, they quickly learned that there was hope, based on research to advance new treatments and cures for leukemia, much of it funded by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
