http://www.WhitneyVandell.com Whitney Vandell’s debut record takes its namesake from that same title, one that has been hard-earned by Vandell over years of intense work. The African-native instrumentalist has released one of the more intriguing and eclectic instrumental records thus far this year on the indie scene. What makes the ‘One-Girl Symphony’ so interesting is Vandell’s hand over a vast array of genres. The record style-hops with ridiculous tact, shifting from classical influences to rock and roll and blues in seamless movements. Speaking of which, there actually are movements. Her debut album is broken into four autobiographical sections of three songs each: Teenage Turbulence, The Formative Years, Return to Innocence & Hope, and Empty Promises to Broken Hearts.

The American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity today released a new report “Energy Cost Impacts on Families” that details the plight of American households who are significantly harmed by rising energy costs. The study finds that on average nearly half of America’s households are bringing home $1,900 a month, less than $23,000 annually, and spending 17 percent of those hard-earned dollars on energy. Low and fixed income families, including minorities and senior citizens, are among the most vulnerable to energy price increases and frequently must make tough choices about what to do to meet energy costs. “No one should go without food or medication to keep the lights on but that’s exactly what is taking place in millions of households across America,” said Mike Duncan, president and CEO of ACCCE. “Regulations like EPA’s calamitous Clean Power Plan will only exacerbate the economic struggles families face, making it all that much harder to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. This administration should put Americans ahead of its politically charged agenda and immediately take action to ensure vulnerable families are not harmed further by these reckless regulations.” To view the Multimedia News Release, go http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7552751-accce-family-energy-impact-report/

The creative collaboration between Swedish artist/producer Avicii and Volvo Cars for their new brand campaign features a reworking of the classic song Feeling Good. Filmed on location in Stockholm and Osterlen, southern Sweden, the video visits places of personal significance for Avicii and tells his own story of renewal, following several years of hard touring. The video also features members of his family and close friends. “In the past six years I have been on a never-ending tour, apart for the last nine months during my time-out. I did around 325 shows in a year with traveling on top of that. It couldn’t continue. In the end I had to re-evaluate my situation and change my lifestyle. Sweden is an important place to me, it’s where I gather my strength and energy with family and friends. This whole process of re-evaluation and renewal is what Volvo encouraged me to visualise in the video. I think we did a great job together,” said Avicii. Despite a major song composing setback due to computer failure "My keyboard broke down" I was still able to complete this song and video by using old school computer tactics. First I pleaded with my computer. Then I bribed it. Then I learned how to communicate with it by sign language. When flipping it the finger was no longer effective, I then brought out the hammer and smashed my keyboard in front of it and then said "You're up next Mr. Intel and if you don't smarten up, I'll smash you Inside Out el." I try as hard as I can to be computer friendly.

T. Rowe Price’s 2015 Parents, Kids & Money Survey revealed that parents are letting their kids, who are 8-14 years old, learn about money the hard way, but may not be having the appropriate financial conversations to help guide their decisions. Additionally, the survey found that a growing number of parents think that it is appropriate for schools to teach financial education, and three-quarters of parents think there should be a personal finance requirement to graduate high school. Click: http://www.melogia.com “This music video is about immigrants and the challenges they encounter every day," says Sarantos. “Can you imagine leaving the comforts of your homeland and moving by yourself or with a spouse or child to go to a foreign land, not knowing the language and not having any money in your pockets? I can't even imagine something that drastic! My parents were both immigrants and I recall the bias against them. They worked hard, bothered no one and only cared about helping me live a better life. Is there a cause more just or noble? America is still the land of opportunity. I have such a profound level of respect and admiration for any and all immigrants who legally try to make America their adopted home!” 33% of any music-related sales profits from this song are going straight to Feed My Starving Children. Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and they ship these meals to nearly 70 countries around the world. Sarantos even participated in one of these packing sessions on a cold Chicago night last month!

Here is a great multi-camera video that was filmed, edited and produced for us on location in various areas of the South Bay of Los Angeles, CA by MacCee . With an HD Video, JAK FROST is a very creative, very much upward bound and hard hitting Hard rock/Metal band that is very ably helmed by Michael De Laurentiis the guitarist/ vocalist/founder. Mike Mohr is the bass player and Ian Michaels is the drummer. Both are very able and excellent musicians who bring their own wealth of experience, talent, and creativity with them. With a volatile mixture on many fronts going for them, many dimensions and many facets are brought to and explored in the furtherance of the hard rock genre as they understand it. Who's that guy in the monk outfit with those eyes in the opening and closing beach shot sequences? Why, that's Michael. Also, be on the lookout for the Goodyear blimp flying in the background of one of the beach shot chorus sequences featuring Michael, Michael's excellent acoustic guitar solo in another of the beach shot sequences, and for the Pelicans diving into the ocean in the closing beach shot sequence in the distance of that monk walking towards the water's edge. Be sure to check out our Website and our Facebook Page (which is found listed in the credits at the end of the video). OR .jakfrost1.com or facebook.com/jakfrost7777 Video is Copyright © 2014 - Michael De Laurentiis.

http://www.melogia.com New rock song "We Accept The Love We Think We Deserve" is an emotional piece about domestic violence. Now that the Super Bowl is over, the NFL will have a chance to reflect on quite a year. Domestic violence was frequently at the forefront of the 2014-2015 season and unfortunately for all the wrong reasons. Sarantos is proud to release this latest rock song. Violence against women and children results from the use of force or threat to achieve and maintain control over others in intimate relationships, and from societal abuse of power and domination in the forms of sexism, racism, homophobia, classism, anti-Semitism, able-bodyism, ageism and other oppressions. The abuses of power in society foster battering by perpetuating conditions, which condone violence against women and children. “This a powerful rock song about domestic violence in our society today," says Sarantos. “It seems like this topic was in the news a lot in the last year between the NFL, Bill Cosby and so many other stories that made headlines. My heart goes out to the victims. I wrote this song to not only start a conversation on the matter but to hopefully help others find a solution. This is a hard rock song about a man who has made many mistakes in his life. He constantly takes emotional abuse from his partner. Somewhere along the way, he has lost his faith. Thru the words, the bruises and the blame though he stays right there... Why does he stay right there? I hope this song helps drive home the message throughout the world that domestic abuse is simply not ok.” 33% of any music-related sales profits from this song are going straight to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
