As millions of Americans begin choosing a health plan for the first time under the Affordable Care Act, the new Healthgrades American Hospital Quality Outcomes 2014: Report to the Nation released today reveals how hospital selection can dramatically impact a patient’s health. Americans have a bit of a superiority complex when it comes to grading their financial prowess. Genworth’s latest Psychology of Financial Planning research reveals that more than half (52%) of Americans gave themselves an A or B grade on their saving and investing knowledge, while giving the average American a failing grade of D. What nearly everyone (97%) can agree on, however, is the importance of financial literacy and the fact that they don’t have enough (88%). In fact, 58 percent of respondents blamed lack of financial education as a top reason why pre-retirees don’t have enough money saved for retirement.

Rwanda is celebrating and believe me they
have a lot to celebrate after 20 years of peace! Exact numbers killed
are of course difficult to verify but it likely well over a million
people, which for a country as tiny as Rwanda is about 1 in 5. We do
know that at least 500,000 people were killed in a mere 100 days after
the assassination of Juvénal Habyarimana and Cyprien Ntaryamira on
April 6 through mid-July in 1994. It\\\'s also quite
difficult to guess the exact start date of the genocide because the
definition of genocide wasn\\\'t even recognized internationally until
1948. I would personally put the start of their troubles at 1933 when
the then ruling Belgians organized a census and mandated that everyone
be issued an identity card classifying them as either Tutsi, Hutu, or
Twa. This, then started the tensions that led to an eventual
genocide. Many people are familiar with Rwanda both because of it\\\'s
unusual name and the association with the famous fact based movie

To coincide with the start of a new school year and Attendance Awareness Month, the Ad Council and U.S. Army are releasing a series of new public service advertisements (PSAs) addressing the importance of regular school attendance in middle school in order for students to stay on course to graduate high school. Created pro bono by Publicis Kaplan Thaler, the PSAs illustrate the fact that every absence, in any grade, excused or not, can negatively impact a child’s academic achievement and put their high school graduation at risk. To help parents keep track, two tools are being offered on the campaign website: a “Text2Track” mobile SMS program and a redesigned Attendance Calculator.

Most of us have, and we then try to go through life, putting on a happy face as best we can, but feeling so inadequate inside. Fact: Research shows that between 77% and 90% of women think that they're ugly. Fact: The majority of men doubt themselves and live with fear and insecurity. Fact: 97% of Americans FAIL to achieve their life goals (& it's probably the same in Australia and at least the rest of the western world) Beautiful is a song that brings hope and declares the truth of God's word that basically says you're beautiful and the with God on your side, it's impossible to fail... not a bad promise to keep in mind. As a good friend of mine says, God bankrupted heaven so that he could have you as His friend. You are the pearl of great price and he sold all he had, gave His only Son, so that he could buy you. May God bless you as you listen and may he lift you to a point that you realise that it is God himself who sees you as beautiful, proclaiming you perfect through the blood of Jesus, his Son.
