Vor 29 Jahren feierte der Audi Sport quattro sein Debut als Homologationsmodell eines neuen Rallyautos, mit dem die Ingolstädter in den nächsten Jahren inclusive der Weiterentwicklung S1 den Rallyesport dominierten. Fast drei Jahrzehnte Unterschied bedeuten in der Auto-Entwicklung eigentlich unterschiedliche Welten, können nicht miteinander verglichen werden. Umso gespannter war unser Team, als es bei der „Audi Land of quattro Alpentour“ mit dem neuen RS 6 Avant den Oldie traf, der ebenfalls die 4.440 Kilometer lange Strecke über 44 Pässe und durch sechs Länder erfolgreich absolvierte.

Er ist aber Bestandteil einer sechsteiligen Edition namens „Bugatti Legends“. Eine Revolution sucht man auch beim Contiental GT V8 vergebens. Verglichen mit dem Lamborghini fällt diese allerdings gemäßigter aus. Bei Lamborghini hat man sich auf Evolution konzentriert. Mit der neuesten Version namens Squadra Corse haben sich die Ingenieure vom Rennauto aus dem Trofeo-Markenpokal inspirieren lassen. Porsche Weltpremiere mit dem neuen 911 Turbo, alles in allem eher eine Evolution. Die Revolution findet sich in Form des 918 Spyder.

Dhyan Chand (29 August 1905 – 3 December 1979) was an Indian field hockey player widely considered to be one of the greatest players of all time.
