The North American International Auto Show 2012 (NAIAS) has expanded its footprint inside Cobo Center and its outreach into the social media sphere as it prepares to open for Press Preview, Jan. 9-10, 2012.
With an additional 25,000 square feet of main floor exhibit space, and the anticipated unveilings of dozens of the most exciting production and concept vehicles in the world, NAIAS 2012 is speeding towards two full days of press conferences. And, with an increased presence on social media sites Facebook and Twitter, the word is out, wider than ever before.

PLapp, an iPad app for users to assemble virtual plastic model kits with the sense of reality. It provides a simple interface for assembling and coloring 3D models.
On describing PLapp, it provides various types of materials, which is available with the color configuration panel. You can simply select the model you want, detach the parts and assemble them. Choose and apply your favourite colors for the model. You can also share the model with your friends on twitter and facebook.

Eighty-two percent of young adult drivers (16-24) have read a standard text message while driving, according to a national survey conducted by the Ad Council. In an effort to educate young drivers about the dangers of texting while driving, the State Attorneys General and Consumer Protection agencies, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)and the Ad Council are launching a new public service advertising campaign (PSA) nationwide. The campaign includes TV, radio, outdoor and digital PSAs. Additionally, to extend the campaign messages online, new Facebook, Twitter and YouTube social media channels go live today.
