Let me ask you... Have you ever felt unworthy, ugly, ashamed, dirty, imperfect, even hopeless? Most of us have, and we then try to go through life, putting on a happy face as best we can, but feeling so inadequate inside. Fact: Research shows that between 77% and 90% of women think that they're ugly. Fact: The majority of men doubt themselves and live with fear and insecurity. Fact: 97% of Americans FAIL to achieve their life goals (& it's probably the same in Australia and at least the rest of the western world) Beautiful is a song that brings hope and declares the truth of God's word that basically says you're beautiful and the with God on your side, it's impossible to fail... not a bad promise to keep in mind. As a good friend of mine says, God bankrupted heaven so that he could have you as His friend. You are the pearl of great price and he sold all he had, gave His only Son, so that he could buy you. It is 100 years since a simple song was released to the public. A song that unites music legends Elvis Presley, Bing Crosby, Johnny Cash and The Pogues. One song that Elvis loved so much he had it played at his funeral. Yes, it’s the one and only Danny Boy. And it is celebrating its 100th birthday on June 21st, 2013. The song’s melody was first heard in Ireland in the streets of Limavady, County Londonderry where it was known as The Londonderry Air. However it wasn’t until 1910 that Frederick Weatherly, an Englishman, composed the lyrics for this melody. His famous words were published in 1913, making this year the song’s 100th anniversary.

Eight years after his passing, a father's daughter is making his musical dreams come true. Using music and lyrics from David DeNoon's recently unearthed songbook, Christine DeNoon, in partnership with Lorie Steele, has written the show her father always wanted, at last fulfilling one of his lifelong goals. Someone To Belong To has been accepted into The New York International Fringe Festival, one of the largest multi-arts events in North America running from August 9-25th at venues in lower Manhattan.
