It’s time to Rock the Red Kettle this holiday season with the fourth annual free concert hosted by The Salvation Army and produced by Ned Specktor of Specktor Media. Music veteran Kelly Rowland will kick off the concert at Universal CityWalk’s “5 Towers” concert venue in Los Angeles by celebrating the work of The Salvation Army before turning over the mic to hot new artists Bean, Coco Jones and headliner Austin Mahone. The free concert will take place on December 7 at 5 p.m. PST and be streamed live on the Salvation Army Tumblr page.

In total over 6,300 delegates from nearly 3,000 companies in the global duty free & travel retail industry attended the annual trade show which took place in the Palais des Festivals, Cannes from Sunday 20th to Friday 25th October. McDonald’s USA today announced its 2013 Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour raised more than $83,000—the most the tour has ever garnered—in support of local Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Chapters. With its seventh year wrapped, Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour, a free national concert series featuring a lineup of gospel greats, is designed to bring service, encouragement and entertainment to communities and emphasize the importance of giving back. This year’s nine-city tour, hosted by gospel artist/comedienne Vickie Winans, kicked off May 9 in Washington, D.C., and featured gospel music heavy-hitters Smokie Norful and son Ashton, Lecrae and John P. Domestic violence happens 145 times every hour in the U.S. It affects more women than breast cancer, lung cancer and ovarian cancer combined. As part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, The Allstate Foundation has partnered with actress Rosario Dawson for the Purple Purse campaign to raise awareness of domestic abuse and the role finances play in helping survivors break free from violence. In its third year, The Allstate Foundation Purple Purse campaign has pledged to donate up to $350,000 to the YWCA for programs that help domestic violence survivors gain the financial knowledge and resources needed to live independently.
