Today, HANNOVER MESSE was dedicated to young people, with the TectoYou youth careers initiative attracting more than 1,400 young men and women. TectoYou features a wealth of information on careers in engineering and technology plus guided tours of selected exhibition stands.
Clean energy from renewable sources like solar and wind power has long been considered the way of the future. Wind power, in particular, has enormous commercial potential, especially in Germany, where it promises not only to protect the environment, but to create employment as well. At this year’s Hannover Messe, the world’s leading providers are presenting their latest wind energy innovations and showing ways in which clean electricity and energy efficiency can help make our big cities better places to live.
More than 5,000 innovations, 6,500 exhibitors from 65 countries, and 13 leading trade fairs. HANNOVER MESSE 2011 opened its doors on April 4 with German Chancellery Minister Ronald Pofalla, French Prime Minister Francois Fillon and German Federal Education Minister Annette Schavan in attendance. For 60 years, the world’s biggest industry show has been the leading marketplace for groundbreaking technologies. Today, above all, these technologies must spare energy and resources.
From April 4 to 8, the city of Hannover is once again the center of global industry. HANNOVER MESSE 2011 features more than 6,500 exhibitors from 65 countries. These companies are showcasing more than 5,000 high-tech products. For example: The latest robots, incredibly lightweight materials for auto manufacturing or Virtual assembly sites in 3D. Plus, France is making a special appearance as Partner Country. Tools are supposed to make normal life easier, at least that is how it should be. People with disabilities, however, are dependant on such tools in order to be able to live their lives in a normal way. Ten percent of the Germans live with a recognized disability - for these people - and for their families and carers - the fair RehaCare in Düsseldorf offers an array of already known devices - and some new ones are of course presented as well.
