As Americans honor those who serve our country this Veterans Day, Colorado Technical University (CTU) is recognizing the sacrifices of 25 wounded active duty and veteran service members and 25 spouses of wounded service members with the gift of education.
CTU today announced the 50 recipients of the fifth annual 2013 CTU Wounded Warrior Scholarship and Wounded Warrior Spouse Scholarship programs. The scholarships cover the full cost of tuition, course materials and fees, as well as a new laptop computer.

Golfers have a great excuse to tee it up on Labor Day weekend (Aug. 31 – Sept. 3) as thousands of golf facilities will host Patriot Golf Day® events. They will collect donations for Folds of Honor Foundation, a non-profit organization providing educational scholarships to families of service men and women disabled or killed in service to their country. Abbott has selected 40 undergraduate and graduate students living with cystic fibrosis (CF) to each receive a $2,500 CFCareForward Scholarship for use during the 2012-2013 academic year. Recipients were chosen based on their impressive academic merits, community involvement and creativity, and will now compete for two additional scholarships for a total award of $20,000 each – in honor of the 20th anniversary of the program.
