Vehicles are doing a better job of protecting people in crashes, but a new crop of advanced technology aims to prevent many crashes from happening altogether. A new study by the Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI) finds that one kind of advanced forward collision avoidance system is working to prevent about a quarter of the common low-speed crashes that happen in everyday commuter traffic. The study of insurance claims found that Volvo XC60 midsize SUVs outfitted with a standard collision avoidance feature called City Safety are far less likely to be involved in low-speed crashes than comparable vehicles without the system. City Safety is designed to help a driver avoid rear-ending another vehicle in slow-moving, heavy traffic. Claims under property damage liability coverage — the insurance that pays for damage to vehicles that an at-fault driver hits — were filed 27 percent less often for the XC60 than other midsize luxury SUVs. Could migraine patients be doing more to get the most out of their medical visits? According to a new national survey released by the National Headache Foundation (NHF) and GlaxoSmithKline, the answer is yes. For the nearly 30 million migraine sufferers in the U.S., including six million treating with prescription medication, these survey results may have important implications. The survey, conducted online in November 2010 by Harris Interactive, included 1,218 diagnosed migraine patients taking prescription medications for their migraine attacks as well as 533 physicians who treat between five and 10 migraine patients per week. The findings revealed disparities between what patients and physicians each reported typically discussing during office visits. You probably never heard of an electrical connector, but behind the scenes, it's doing amazing things – providing ignition on a rocket, helping to get winery grapes harvested on time, and providing the power to light up the Mardi Gras parade. So when your job entails ensuring that your $1.3 million dollar Mardi Gras float lights up in the nighttime parade — when you only have the one opportunity to shine — your electrical connectors are, to say the least, critical. http://gregartz.com/internet-marketing-strategies/introduction-to-internet-marketing/ As you may know, my name is Greg Artz and this begins our journey to learning Internet Marketing Strategies that will help you surge forward in developing your online business and help you achieve your goals and dreams. But before we can begin, I want to share a little history with you about internet marketing. Today\'s economy has been quite the shaky one and more and more people have been looking to find other sources of income. There aren\'t a lot of choices for most of us and that is one of the reasons many people are turning to internet marketing. Internet Marketing Will Open Previously Closed Doors Not only people, but even large and small corporations have also been turning to internet marketing. This is because it becomes very easy and inexpensive for them to maintain a relationship with their client base. They can easily advertise their business to places all over the world and create sales that just would have been non-existent otherwise. Internet marketing has helped to create tons of self made millionaires because of it\'s flexibility to work with as many different companies, in as many different niches as you wish. You have the ability to share your knowledge with the world and make tons of money doing it. Internet marketing gives you the power to be your own boss and set your own schedule. Some of us just don\'t do well under the raps of working for someone else. This is the way I have always been. I like being independent and that\'s why I personally love internet marketing so much.
