The European Head and Neck Society (EHNS) today announces European-wide ‘Early Diagnosis Days’ taking place on Wednesday 24 September as part of this year’s Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Week (22–26 September). This follows the success of the 2013 campaign, where nearly 100 ‘Early Diagnosis Days’ took place. More than 5,000 patients were seen by a healthcare provider in 1 day, resulting in a referral rate of approximately 5% and multiple diagnoses of the disease. We can’t change our genetic makeup but we can change our behavior to help mitigate the effects of this type of dementia. These are all things we can accomplish with a little determination and planning. http://youtu.be/9eMrmVMuAa0

Early findings from a major research initiative of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) suggest that specific bacteria play a central role in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis (UC), also known as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).
