La osteoartritis (OA) es una de las primeras 10 causas de invalidez total en México, lo que incrementa la carga económica y social del país, siendo las rodillas una de las articulaciones más frecuentemente afectadas por esta enfermedad, con una prevalencia de 10% en hombres y 13% en mujeres de 60 años de edad1. Especialistas en la materia, indican que es muy importante crear conciencia sobre el cuidado de estas articulaciones desde edades tempranas.
