Yet many are unaware of the serious liver or gastrointestinal damage that can result from the overdose or overuse of common OTC pain medicine ingredients. To help adults safely take these medicines, the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) today launched Gut Check: Know Your Medicine, an education campaign focused on the safe use of OTC products.
