So, I have told you about fluoride and chlorine, the two minerals that you need to watch, and not allow dentists and product makers to fool you into thinking that these chemicals do not harm you in low concentrations. They do, but you won’t know it for a long time.

You can imagine who it says it harms. Doctors say it's a waste of time and practitioners that offer a colon cleansing service cleansing say it is not. So who will you believe?

nanobébé, a brand dedicated to revolutionizing the infant feeding industry, today announced the launch of its much-anticipated sleek and modern ecosystem of health-focused feeding essentials for today’s 21st century parents, poised to be hot baby registry items this year. Breastfeeding moms can rejoice in the company’s flagship Breastmilk Bottle, the first and only baby bottle designed specifically to preserve essential breast milk nutrients. From pumping, storing, warming to feeding, the award-winning nanobébé Breastmilk Bottle protects the breast milk and preserves its nutritional value. “When moms warm breast milk in the traditional way, there is a good chance that they are unknowingly damaging the nutritional and immunity-boosting properties of the milk. Additionally, the milk is likely heated unevenly, causing hot spots, which can harm the baby,” said Rallie McAllister, MD, MPH, nanobébé SpokesDoctor, family physician and coauthor of The Mommy MD Guide to Your Baby’s First Year. “nanobébé’s bottles are biomedically engineered with a concave shape that spreads the breast milk into a thin layer and allows it to warm at safe temperatures, protecting nutrients from damage and preventing hot spots.” The nanobébé Breastmilk Bottle warms stored breast milk quickly, twice as fast as standard bottles. Everyone loves summer, but we also need to be careful and watchful of hazards that come with it. Something like a nice family hike or fun in the sun can end badly if we are not aware of such hazards and danger that might harm our loved ones. http://youtu.be/lpel8Wsr_xw

Launching today, the Safe Firearms Storage campaign encourages firearms owners to make safe firearms storage a priority. According to a study by the RAND Corporation using statistics from the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately 1.4 million homes have firearms stored in a way that makes them accessible to the wrong hands – children, at–risk youth, potential thieves, and those who intend to harm themselves or others. There’s a dance that goes on between mothers and their newborns: the initiation of relationship and communication. However, current culturally driven health and child care practices are interrupting the dance and causing more harm than good. As a result, parents, especially first time parents, often require a great deal of education and support. Dr. Barbara Morrison (DrBarb) is a certified nurse midwife dedicated to advocating, educating and inspiring healthcare reform for newborns and their families. As the founder and CEO of DrBarbCNM, LLC (http://www.DrBarbCNM.com), DrBarb is among the leading advocates of Kangaroo Care, the method of holding a newborn or infant skin-to skin, chest-to-chest to strengthen the bond between parent and child and to encourage breastfeeding and mental, social and physical development. Beginning this Earth Day (April 22), Whole Foods Market (NASDAQ: WFM) will no longer carry red-rated, wild-caught fish in its seafood departments. The move, which comes one year ahead of the company’s self-imposed deadline of Earth Day 2013, makes Whole Foods Market the first national grocer to stop selling red-rated seafood. A red rating indicates that a species is suffering from overfishing or that current fishing methods harm other marine life or habitats; the ratings are determined by nonprofit research organizations Blue Ocean Institute and Monterey Bay Aquarium. Blue Ocean Institute and Monterey Bay Aquarium’s green or “Best Choice” ratings mean species are abundant and are caught in environmentally friendly ways; yellow or “Good Alternative” ratings indicate some concerns with the species’ status or catch methods.
