SMIRNOFF has announced a new extension of its “Equalizing Music” global campaign through a new partnership with Spotify that promotes equality for women musicians around the world. According to Spotify data, none of the top 10 most-streamed tracks were performed by women artists or bands in 2017. To help make a difference in the music industry, the makers of SMIRNOFF have teamed up with Spotify to increase representation of women in music by allowing consumers to impact their own listening habits through an industry-first application programming interface (API), dubbed the Smirnoff Equalizer. The Tory Burch Foundation today announced the launch of a global campaign, #EmbraceAmbition, to encourage women to embrace ambition. The initiative kicks off today to coincide with International Women’s Day. Inspired by Tory’s personal experience as a woman and entrepreneur, the campaign aims to address the double standard that exists around ambition, which is often seen as a great attribute in men and as a negative one in women. A cornerstone of the campaign is a video PSA celebrating ambition, created with Laird+Partners. The PSA features celebrities and leaders from diverse industries including entertainment (Gwyneth Paltrow, Julianne Moore, Kerry Washington, Chris Pine, Reese Witherspoon), fashion (Anna Wintour), sports (Billie Jean King, Gabby Douglas, Laila Ali), business (Eric Schmidt, Sheryl Sandberg), philanthropy (Melinda Gates) and more. Imagine trying to make a decision with only half the information. Today, nearly all organizations across the public and private sectors rely on data to make better decisions about everything from employee salaries to new legislation. Data provides decision makers insight into what the baseline is, where collective needs are, and where resources should be allocated. But half our world’s population—women—are underrepresented and many times completely unrepresented in these datasets. Inaccurate data often results from gender bias in the design of surveys or questionnaires, or from someone other than the woman or girl responding to a survey on her behalf. Misrepresented or incomplete gender data collection yields results that misses the mark on understanding women’s needs or their economic and social contributions. Policies and initiatives around healthcare, education, economic opportunity and more are built based on what’s available—gender-biased data—and fail to fairly serve women and girls. How can we close the gender data gap and pursue the global ambition towards gender equality and a fuller understanding of the whole population? Match, the world's largest relationship company, today released findings from its seventh annual Singles in America study – the nation’s largest, most comprehensive annual survey of single people living in the U.S. The 2016 survey captures surprising data and trends on new dating rituals, the impact social media has had on the dating landscape, shifting gender roles, as well as attitudes about love, sex, and relationships across generations. “The annual Singles in America study has once again demonstrated new emerging trends including men’s overwhelmingly positive view of feminism and feminists, in the boardroom and the bedroom. We’ve captured the great spring forward in gender equality,” says Dr. Helen Fisher, biological anthropologist and Chief Scientific Advisor to Match. “Millennials are diligently using technology to find love—and building new dating rules and taboos along the way. Moreover, if you want to spur a budding relationship forward, skip the flowers: leave your cell phone in your pocket. And how do you know when a friendship is turning into a romance? Singles still express true love in ancestral ways -- it’s not about revealing your passwords.” To view the multimedia release go to: http://www.multivu.com/players/English/8024551-match-7th-annual-singles-in-america-study/

Through thousands of hours meeting with women from Dallas to Taipei, Sao Paulo to Paris, Neutrogena® uncovered a universal truth – women are stepping back to examine what’s possible in their lives so they can pursue their dreams. Always on a mission to create, innovate, and rethink what’s possible in skincare, Neutrogena® identified this shared value and was inspired to launch its first-ever global campaign: “Neutrogena. See What’s Possible.™” “Neutrogena® started as a dream, and through scientific discovery, creative thinking and the resilience to defy expectations without any compromises, a brand was born,” said Alicia Sontag, President, Beauty Care, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. “We support women around the world and are proud to help them put their best face forward as they pursue their own dreams – big or small.” The “Neutrogena. See What’s Possible™” campaign will debut with a commercial voiced by Brand Ambassador and creative consultant Kerry Washington which features real women following their passions. The empowering video brings to life the brand’s point of view on beauty – what really makes a woman beautiful is the ability to look in the mirror and know that anything is possible. In addition, educational and inspiring digital content designed to encourage her along her journey will be leveraged through social platforms in over 27 countries around the world, making this the largest digitally-driven campaign the brand has ever executed. L’Oréal Paris believes women’s lips can be bold in more ways than one. For the first time, L’Oréal Paris is leveraging its red carpet authority and broadcast sponsorship of the 2016 Golden Globes to go beyond beauty with the launch of the #WorthSaying campaign. As recent award show red carpets have demonstrated, female celebrities are speaking out and sharing information about their work, careers, and other meaningful topics. Designed to propel this cultural shift, #WorthSaying, launching January 10, the night of the Golden Globes, encourages women on the carpet – and off – to share words they believe are truly worth saying. “For over forty years, since the time we declared our iconic tagline, ‘Because You’re Worth It,’ L’Oréal Paris has supported the individual beauty and intrinsic worth of every woman,” notes Karen Fondu, President of L’Oréal Paris. “We are fueling the powerful words of women everywhere, so their most-worthy conversations reach, affect and inspire as many other women as possible.” To view the multimedia release go to: http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7723051-l-oreal-paris-worthsaying/
