“Someone special at St. Jude would like to say hello,” this is what Guests at Chili’s® Grill & Bar Highland Springs restaurant heard after choosing to donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® during this year’s Create-A-Pepper campaign. It’s often difficult to connect how an add-on donation at the end of a meal or coloring a pepper while at Chili’s can have an impact on the kids at St. Jude, but over the past 15 years, each donation and pepper has added up to more than $64 million to support St. Jude’s mission of Finding cures. Saving children®.
This year, Chili’s is showing how a little action can create a big impact by continuing to connect those who care with those in need of care. ChiliHeads at Highland Springs in Beaumont, Calif. surprised everyday Guests with a special thank you for their donation to St. Jude. Guests came in expecting a normal dining experience and got something completely different. After a donation, Guests received a video call from a St. Jude survivor who personally shared their story and the difference each donation makes in ensuring that no family ever receives a bill.

The iconic jingle, introduced to the world 31 years ago and awarded the number-one song “Most Likely to Get Stuck in Your Head” by Ad Age in 2004, has been turned upside down to let people know that ‘Chili’s Is Back, Baby’ and focused on one thing only – quality burgers, ribs and fajitas.

Chili’s® Grill & Bar understands the heartache of losing a beloved menu item; so this is for the Fried Buffalo Cauliflower lovers and the Smothered Carnitas Burrito enthusiasts, because today is the day that Chili’s introduces its new “less is more” 75-item menu at all restaurants nationwide. This 40 percent menu cut is drastic, but it’s for the best as this decision was made with the best interest of Guests in mind. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital patients who completed kindergarten during their treatment for pediatric cancers celebrated at a graduation ceremony.
For the 10th straight year, St. Jude honored 14 patients from around the United States who completed kindergarten while battling life-threatening illnesses like leukemia and brain tumors. Dozens of families and St. Jude doctors, nurses, and staff cheered for the young students, who completed kindergarten in the St. Jude School Program by Chili’s.
Each year, the school program commemorates students who have completed kindergarten coursework with a special ceremony. The children present a song for the families and St. Jude staff, receive their diplomas and celebrate the milestone with their fellow students.

Chili’s® Grill & Bar, one of America’s leading casual dining restaurant brands, started with burgers on its original menu and today added new craft burgers tied to the launch of the brand’s new national heritage campaign, Chilin’ Since ’75™. Starting July 5, all restaurants nationwide will launch the new Sunrise Burger featuring a cage-free egg on top and the Ultimate Bacon Burger, both of which are now available with the option of a 100 percent grass-fed patty, which has no antibiotics or added hormones.

And to date, millions have given turkey a shot. The Make The Switch® tour kicked off in Los Angeles and made stops in Miami and Denver. Famous for having the most beautiful countryside in China, Huangling village in China’s Jiangxi Province launched helicopter tours from March 11, 2016 offering visitors the opportunity of a bird’s eye view of the region’s beautiful spring rapeseed flower blossom.
Tours take off from Jiangwan Town airfield, about 28 kilometers from Huangling, fly by the village and over the magnificent flower terraces and Hui-style houses with their black roof tiles and white walls.
Surrounded by green mountains and steep cliffs, Huangling village was settled hundreds of years ago and is recognized as one of the most beautiful destinations in China. With its towering trees, stone paths, winding creeks and rich folk culture, the ancient village also retains the unique folk tradition of shaiqiu, or “crop drying in mid-air” as villagers sun-dry chili pepper and corn harvests around the houses throughout the year. This remarkable spectacle is a symbol of the Huangling culture.
