ATLANTA (January 29, 2019) – Leading early education and care provider Primrose Schools and its nearly 400 independently owned schools across the country joined forces for the most successful fundraising and volunteering year in the company's 36-year history. Through its Primrose PromiseSM CSR program, more than 63,000 Primrose children and their families engaged in giving efforts that generated more than $914,000 for local and national charities in 2018. These efforts represent a 16.8 percent increase over the company's 2017 impact.

On January 13, 2019, the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund (“Relief Fund”) directly handed out $1,000 Payoneer® prepaid cards to approximately 4,000 families in Puerto Rico who are still recovering after Hurricanes Irma and Maria devastated the island.
More than 200 volunteers from Cantor Fitzgerald and its affiliate companies BGC Partners and Newmark Knight Frank, along with New York community volunteers and clients from Banco Santander and Scotiabank, distributed $4 million at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The Relief Fund worked directly with the office of Carmen Yulin Cruz, San Juan Mayor, to organize the effort and identify the families in need.

Dozens of actors, musicians, sports personalities and other distinguished guests donated their time on September 11th to honor the memories of those who lost their lives on 9/11 by raising more than $12 million for charities around the world. This special event, called Charity Day, is hosted each year by BGC Partners, Inc. Thirty-six warriors coping with service-connected injuries will join Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) on a monumental cross-country journey to raise awareness for veteran issues, tomorrow. Soldier Ride Across America – beginning at One World Trade in New York City and ending at Ocean Beach, California – commemorates the 15-year anniversary of Chris Carney’s historic coast-to-coast cycling venture in support of wounded warrior, which spurred the creation of the WWP Soldier Ride® program.
After the first ride, several combat warriors who returned from Operation Enduring Freedom with visible and invisible injuries joined Chris for another cross-country ride. This second trek across the nation united wounded warriors and helped them redefine personal strengths and rekindle the battle buddy mentality so crucial in military service. Despite many obstacles, the group of warriors refused to give up – using the experience as a catalyst to show the public and themselves that with support and motivation, anything is possible.

As part of a yearlong 75th anniversary celebration, Crowe CEO Jim Powers challenged personnel to volunteer 75,000 hours in their communities, more than double the number of volunteer hours from the previous year.
“Not only did our people meet the 75,000-hour challenge, they crushed it,” said Powers. “By the end of the challenge, we volunteered 82,000 hours, the equivalent of providing 39 full-time people at the nonprofits we served.” Two-thirds of personnel volunteered during the year, well above the industry norm of 31 percent. Using data from Independent Sector, the volunteer hours translate to an economic impact of more than $2 million for the nonprofits.

MINI TAKES THE STATES 2018 (MTTS), the eagerly anticipated road rally for MINI owners hosted by MINI USA, kicked off this weekend from two separate locations on opposite sides of the country. Over the next five days, thousands of MINI owners will #DriveForMore to help raise money for charity partner Feeding America.
The two rally routes, each with more than 800 participants, started in Orlando, Fla., and Portland, Ore., on Saturday, July 14, and will meet in the middle at Keystone Report in Keystone, Colo., on July 20 for a weekend celebration of everything MINI. The bi-annual trek will cover more than 5,000 miles in total, traveling across America on state and county roads, stopping in 15 cities along the way.

Northwestern Mutual – through its Foundation – partnered with the Rose Bowl Stadium and the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation over the weekend to host the inaugural Rose Buds Campout on the Field Presented by Northwestern Mutual, a unique overnight campout on the famed Rose Bowl Stadium Field. This once-in-a-lifetime experience gathered more than 200 kids and parents – many of whom are affected by childhood cancer – and enabled them to create lasting memories together.

In celebration of the second annual “Beverly Hills Dog Show Presented by Purina,” a show that will combine the stars of Hollywood with the stars of the dog world, Purina invites pet lovers across the globe to share the positive impact dogs make in our lives through its “Every Dog is a Star” program.
Dog owners are encouraged to log onto Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to post photos or videos showing how their dog is the true star of the family. For every original post submitted between March 26-April 8, using the hashtag #BHDogShow and tagging @Purina, Purina will donate five dollars (up to $25,000) to Mutt-i-grees, a program run by North Shore Animal League America. Mutt-i-grees helps show children the positive impact pets can have on their lives by teaching them important life skills such as empathy, friendship and kindness through interaction with shelter dogs. Purina and the Mutt-i-grees program share the belief that pets and people are better together and are committed to providing opportunities where these relationships can grow. The funds will be used to help expand the program to additional schools around the country.
